Hmm. Apparently the Female Titan has the power to gain imperfect versions of the other Shifters by eating parts of their Titan flesh. Thats the only reason shes able to harden (Armored Titan) and control Mindless Titans with her scream (Beast Titan).

A better name would be like the Adaptive Titan or something in that case

Cuz does it have to specifically be a female? Other Titan Shifters dont necessarily need to be male. And besides her scream that attracts mindless titans, none of her powers are related to being female. Even calling the attraction power feminine is a stretch. Shes more known for being athletic, dexterous, being able to jump, that kind of stuff. Stamina seems to be second only to the Cart Titan

Playing Parkasaurus, finished the tutorial and Toronto level, and mucked around in custom/creative mode.

Apparently its a pretty approachable game as far as the genre goes, so its pretty smooth sailing. My main goal is to bang out the 20-30 campaign levels so I can start playing creative mode with everything unlocked, I think thats the part that appeals to me the most.

Havent played it yet but the soundtrack is AMAZING. So much variety.

Got Open RCT2 working, now I just gotta get good at the game lmao

Hmm. MyAbandonware has versions of RCT 1 and 2 available for free, im gonna do some digging but might as well use those in conjunction with OpenRCT to save a couple bucks.

Any Action adventure game with rpg elements. God of war and the final fantasy remake come to mind. One is just a action adventure while the latter is a action rpg.

The old God of War? 3D Action is the category I lump all Hack-and-Slash games in. Like DMC, Bayonetta, Lollipop Chainsaw, GoW, etc. If a game has more adventure/exploration aspects too, and isnt just a beat em up, I call it a 3D ActionAdventure. Includes Zelda, GTA, the ps1 Tomb Raiders, Assassins Creed, Batman Arkham, etc.

Megaquarium and Parkasaurus seem like they would be approachable ones to start with, just based on the aesthetic. But Im gonna try Punch Club first, not sure if it qualifies as a management sim but you play as a guy trying to become a fighter, and gotta manage your training, bookings, etc

Its very likely a translation error as the L sound and R sound come from the same letter in the Japanese language.

Thats why the legendary hero in Dragon Quest is called Erdrick; because the localizers didnt know whether to translate the JPN name to Loto or Roto, so they made up a new name.

Been a while since I played the original, but I don't remember it feeling that different from the next few games. Just that it wasn't as good.

it was made in 2007, right when game design philosophy was shifting to the way it is now, where the aim is usually to add as many different elements as possible to appeal to the widest amount of people.

AC1 is a modern game with a classic design philosophy. Its not bloated with a weapon/equip system, fetch quests, busy work, etc. It does what it wants to and executes it perfectly, without guiding the player on a set path.

Youve got 9 (?) assassination missions you can tackle in just about any order you want, all with a large number of approaches.

Unlike the other games, instead of moving on from story mission to next story mission, AC1 requires you to gather information until youre ready to carry out the assassination. This is the one part of the game that can probably be seen as a time waster, but you only *need* to do 2 of 6 of the info-gathering missions before you can proceed. However, I think doing all 6 each time is fun because you get *actual* information about the mission, its not just a story thing. Like a map of the area where the assassination will be, a layout of enemy guards with advice on blind spots, or a piece of intel where a trap might be lain. The other games dont really give you this at all.

When I played it for the first time, I didnt think much of the game being set during the Crusades, but after having played some of the later games, its definitely is very unique. Everything feels desolate and empty, in an atmospheric way. Also probably has the most intriguing plot. Im referring both to the modern-day sections, and the Altair story; the game is a mystery with you having to figure out how all your seemingly-unrelated assassination targets connect to each other. They all also represent a different aspect of corrupt officials in society.

Im not saying AC 1 is the best in the franchise, but it is absolutely worth playing as it is wholly unique from the rest of the franchise. I hope anyone who advises people to skip the first game get ignored. Like I said, not necessarily the best, but because it offers things the rest of the series does not, it could easily be a persons favorite depending on what they like in their video games

Assassins Creed 1 is such a special game. Its so unique compared to the rest of the franchise, and to other games in general. They found a formula that was good and easily repeatable starting from AC2, but AC1 is its own thing entirely and has such a unique identity because of it.

I asked about South Park stick of truth difficulty slider, and it took a lot of coaxing for it to give me a correct response (the difficulty slider is just a gag, and its basically just a skin tone selector and nothing more)

Taking the audience along with the mystery of discovering who Batman was was really cool.

Of course, fans already wouldve known Bruce Wayne is the Batman, but the mystery>clues>revelation was really well-done. Also, the Dance with the devil in the moonlight or w/e line was great
