They weren't that great a team

And South Africa beat France and drew with Mexico which actually was an overperformance for them

I think Brazil's home advantage actually worked against them

Splatoon 2 seems like the biggest one missing from there.

Yeah, big game for both teams, winner likely qualifies with Uruguay. Moreso for Egypt as Russia could qualify by defeating Uruguay and will likely have the goal differential advantage.

Russia is pretty much safe with a draw after that 5-0.

They should've won that one for sure, but perhaps a wake up call. The defenders clearly stepped up in the second half, Iceland pretty much didn't have a chance of getting a goal in all of that. 3/4 of the ball possession says quite a bit too. But they couldn't quite finish things.

And of course that penalty should have been a goal, even if it was a solid save.

So apparently Samus doesn't have her Dark Samus palette anymore, and Ike doesn't have his Chrom one. And the Dark Samus/Shadow assist trophies appear to not be in anymore. And Knuckles is an assist trophy now. And Robin's video doesn't show the final smash.

So I'm going to give a real guess of Dark Samus, Chrom, and Shadow being potential Echo fighters.

This seems quite likely then.

I'm surprised they went for Shadow and not Knuckles, but I guess as an echo, Shadow makes more sense.

Dixie Kong doesn't seem out of the question either.
