As far as series finales go, that was far, FAR, from the worst

it's still pretty underwhelming and it's 100% their own fault for doing this in 6 episodes when it needed at least two more

also the "story" speech was really just terrible/cliche and bran being king really doesn't make sense but gotta make it "full circle" or whatever.

Minority opinion, but 4-2 is also good. 4-3 is awful. 4-4 is equal parts good, bad, and ugly, but overall it's just ..... "why"

this one aged pretty poorly. this used to be my third favorite (behind berseria and graces f) but I'm not sure anymore.

AJ is essential, even if it's bad. DD and SoJ do a good job of making it relevant/interesting.

Speaking of, reminder that SoJ is the third best AA game!

When you bring up "stealing" you're trying to make this about ethics and not objective value so I'm not going to engage you in a different argument

this metaphor doesn't scan on a lot of levels

1) the front office buys those candies
2) the candies are very cheap to produce
3) your alternative - if you actually decided to purchase the candies - would actually be less of a value than nintendo online. you should actually say "pay 20 dollars a year for all you can eat peppermint circles" - which is actually a very good deal, as a large bag of those costs $7 (I actually buy them for my office)

XIII has its moments and during the one part when it's not a "hallway simulator" it is actually excellent. Strong music throughout. In all, I'd say it's actually a bit underrated, but it definitely has issues.

I never played the sequels.

I wouldn't say so. I think she went mad last week when Missandei died (hence that face she pulled at the end) and this week when Jon had the chance to redeem her and give her something to hold onto, he didn't, and she said "fear it is, then". So she actually leaned in to it.

It wasn't like "oh shit, what have I done, I became the very thing I tried not to become!!!" it was a conscious decision to be that way, a deliberate surrender to that part of herself. She chose to rule through fear because in Westeros she believes she has nothing else. She herself now fears the devotion Jon Snow inspires in others, and if she can't have his devotion - and she can't, in her mind - then all she has left is fear.

yeah, finally someone else gets it

this is a person who's been raising an army for 8 seasons, enlisting warlike tribes, disregarding customs in favor for her own ends, using people for her own ends (even the ones she's "saved") roasting people alive, feeding them to her dragons. The show has presented these actions as "good" but if you've been paying attention you should have noticed that this person is actually villainous and has been nearly the entire time

I'm glad it wasn't Theon or Yara who finally took out Euron, but a guy Euron barely ever interacted with who only fought him basically only because they were at the same place at the same time.

the real tragedy is that this season spent that much time on a euron fight scene when he should have just burnt up with his fleet and the screen should have went black, issued a formal text apology to the viewers for the introduction of the character, and then moved on.

What's wrong with Euron? He does the role he is assigned well. If he didn't exist, someone else would have to do it

I just want to reiterate that I enjoyed the episode. cleganebowl was good. people getting burned up was good. jaime/cersei was (a little disappointing) but makes sense.

the only part I think that's bad is the beginning, and I only think it's bad because it's crammed into twenty minutes instead of given an entire episode.

The only problem with that is it makes the first encounter, when after the one dragon got killed and she ran away, look REALLY fuckin dumb. Missandei could have survived!

I mean yes, this is definitely an issue in that it makes no sense. in the last episode ships (behind islands) are able to hit three shots in a row against an unsuspecting dragon and in this episode they're completely unprepared... for some reason.

At this point I have to conclude that the season's biggest problem is the lack of episodes

this one desperately needed an entire episode devoted to the moments directly after Missandei's death, fallout, varys scheming, travel time for jaime, sandor, and arya, more cersei/euron screentime and tactics for the assault on king's landing. as it is, a crapton of REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF happens offscreen.

everything post-dany heel turn is good. if you haven't known the whole time that dany was evil I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah as someone else mentioned, Mysterio is tied to the multiverse as of Bendiss Spider-Men series

Persona 5 has basically proven that people still like turn-based combat is still fun and interesting

that being said, if they want to fix FFXV's combat for this I wouldn't be against it. but it needs work.

who's this moon knight guy btw? one of the articles before had the russos name drop him and ive heard good things about his comics but don't know a thing about him

how does he tie into the larger marvel universe?

moon knight is an interesting character who can either be the corniest character in the MCU or the coolest, depending on the writer

long story short, he's kind of like batman, in that marc spector is a super rich dude and moon knight does a lot of the skulking in the night fighting street-level criminals.

his uniqueness comes from his origin, which is either a straight up 1) he found an ancient relic which allows him to communicate with gods or 2) he's just a schizophrenic psychopath. Or 3) a little mix of both.

Visually I literally cannot imagine his costume translating to film, but I've been proven wrong by Marvel on this multiple times

not really. I won't get into it but doom has got a lot more going for him than that, plus he has a lot of malleability, with plausible connections with strange, F4, BP, and even Captain Marvel.

Doom (done right for once) is really the only acceptable answer here. Perfect villain to bring together the Avengers and the F4. He probably won't be ready for Avengers 5 (or New Avengers, or whatever they end up calling it).
