Havent had a stream of conscious depression shitpost in a while so yee haw here we go boys Thinking about dating, about being in a relationship, fills me with absolute dread. Just the thought of it feels like waiting for something to blow up. I cannot imagine it without the feeling of an impending suicide threat, or without isolation, or erosion of who I am, or violence towards me. Thinking about dating gives me immense anxiety, and trying to think about what a good relationship would be just fills me with dread. Dread that the abuse I have endured is my fault, that it is simply the reality of what my life is and will be, and that I am incapable of experiencing anything else. On top of this, I am, now more-so than ever, far from the kind of person I would want to date; every fiber of who I am as a person, every good thing I had going for me in spite of my shortcomings, hell even whatever charming endearing or otherwise net positive personality traits I once had, have all been completely broken down and razed to the fucking ground. I look at myself and I see fleeting physical appearance surrounded by abject failure and an inability to rise and rebuild from life-changing setbacks. I say this not to mean nobody will ever want me, but rather that even if a relationship presented itself to me, even if someone trued their very hardest to involve themself with me, I would just shut myself off. I would not feel like I was doing the responsible thing by letting someone else on board the trainwreck that is my life. And I dont want to, because I dont want to be abused again; there has been nothing but progression and escalation of abuse in the past few years of my life, and the only absolute and guaranteed way to stop it that I can see is to shut myself off completely, On top of this anxiety around serious dating, even casual encounters, sexual or simply talking, feel like I am being torn open. I do not ever want to have sex again. If I think realistically about it, I have panic attacks. I remember being made to do things after trying to say no, I remember violence for not wanting, I remember so many awful things that have been said and done to me that are now inextricably tied to my sexuality. I got out, but I would not call myself a survivor. What I am doing is not surviving. I am a husk, I am nothing of the person I once was, and now I am just drifting through the days.
