I did it briefly, and it was one of those jobs where even though there were more "important" positions, like being cook, it felt like there was no real hierarchy because of how fast-paced it could be and how essential everyone was.

A jury has found James Crumbley, the father of the Oxford High School shooter, guilty of all four counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The jury returned a unanimous verdict on Thursday after a nearly week-long trial to determine if the father holds any responsibility for the Oxford High School shooting, where his son killed four students, Justin Shilling, Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, and Hana St. Juliana, and injured seven other people on Nov. 30, 2021.

Jurors deliberations began on Wednesday.

James Crumbley was not aware that his son had access to the gun.

The conviction comes after a jury found his wife, Jennifer Crumbley, guilty of the same charges in February.

James and Jennifer Crumbley will each be sentenced on April 9.

Closing arguments began on March 13, after the defense called Karen Crumbley, the sister of James Crumbley, to testify. She was the only witness the defense called to the stand.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald gave her closing argument and said that James Crumbley needs to be held responsible for the Oxford High School shooting due to his gross negligence. James Crumbley is accused of not safely storing the gun away from his son or getting his son the help he needed for his mental health struggles.

"James Crumbley is not on trial for what his son did," McDonald said. "James Crumbley is on trial for what he did and what he didn't do."

Defense attorney Mariell Lehman argued that he was not aware that his son had access to the gun or was going to carry out the shooting. She also said the father wouldn't have known what the shooter was writing in his journal or in text messages to his friend.

I applaud and thank the jurors for reaching a fair and just verdict in what was surely a difficult and emotionally draining experience for them. The finalists this year have the honor of competing to be in the 10th class of inductees to the World Video Game Hall of Fame, The Strongs International Center for the History of Electronic Games director Jon-Paul C. Dyson said in a statement announcing the nominees.

Even 10 years in, theres no shortage of deserving contenders that have had enormous influence on pop culture or the game industry itself. These games span decades. Asteroids is an icon of the late 70s arcade. Myst showed the potential of CD-ROM technology in the 90s. Neopets became a staple of browser-based, free games as we entered the 2000s. And Guitar Hero, which is less than 20 years old, has already proven its staying power.

With the nominees announced, voting is now open to the public to determine who this years inductees will be. Voting runs from March 14-21 with the inductees being announced during a ceremony on May 9.

I thought the original was a decent 90s action-thriller, but idk if there was anything that I would have considered special about it that I cared if it had a remake or not.

obviously you can't deny that the tragedy behind it didn't have anything to do with its cult classic status, but in the way we haven't retired Joker, I don't think we need to retire any other characters with their own stories to tell.
