Looking back I can think of a ton of examples... Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Dazed and Confused, American Pie, Superbad

But it seems like there aren't really any in the modern era? Are teen comedies dead?

I haven't seen it, but I heard Bottoms, which came out last year, was pretty good.

They still make them, they just go to streaming. Same as romcoms and comedies.
None of that stuff does well in theaters anymore so for years now they mainly go straight to streaming

Edgey movies of the past will likely never happen again. With how cancel happy people on twitter are and how everything is "problematic", companies won't want to risk the bad press.

That said, they did kind of run their course and it is time to move on from them. It was getting to the stage, like with parody movies where they would eventually crash and burn and become utter trash.

Better to cut and run while they're still making decent money

I've seen a couple different movies about teen girls going on a zany road trip to get an abortion. They tend to get dumped onto streaming and forgotten about.

Pretty much this-- Hollywood goes for blockbusters almost exclusively these days & comedies don't tend to do well overseas while explosions & pretty lights are a universal language.
