Intuitive eating is promoting re-learning your hunger and satiety cues, learning how to cope with anxiety and boredom other ways than through food, rejecting the idea of "dieting" and viewing it as a "time-thief," not eliminating or restricting any foods that may bring you pleasure or may be relevant to you culturally, learning how to eat for pleasure without overeating, rejecting the idea that you need to be "better" in any sort of labs or parameters as long as you're within normal limits (ie. If i want Asian I'm definitely not going to a chain. If i want Italian I'm definitely not going to a chain. If i want pizza I'm definitely not going to a chain. If i want middle eastern or Indian food I'm definitely not going to a chain (do those even exist?).

But if i want generic white people food, like a tuna steak or a huge salad, then it can be easier than waiting until 4 or 5pm to go to a nice, chef inspired, locally sourced/influemced, good kinda restaurant.
Cheesecake factory is above average quality, has tons of options, and has good hours. It definitely is one chain I'll actually support

Neither have i - and I've lived in Cleveland, Akron, Detroit, Rochester, and Tucson.

Plus I'd never pay money to go to a steak house.
I'd also never go to a chain Asian restaurant, especially when i live in an area now with a big Asian population

For food safety purposes the fridge IS the preferred method. They say that both in school and in Servsafe.

Running water can't be too hot or cold, and risks reaching that 4 hours. Microwave risks accidentally cooking it

You can pay the same prices for better stuff. The best steakhouse in Vegas has happy hour steaks twice a day. Half off steaks.Just paid 25 dollars for a filet mignon and 22 for a 14 New York strip. No point in going to those chains unless you its right by you

Obviously it's not as good as an actual chef owned restaurant - and lol at you mentioning steaks like i said. Blechh

But as a chain it's the best. It's not even a contest. Depending on where you are in the country it's probably better than a lot of the nicer restaurants in those areas. It's good quality for a chain. Their salads and seafood are good

And in no way is excellent funnier. The grim reaper alone eviscerates all the humor in the first -- not even factoring in bill and ted's jokes being funnier

The sequel is funnier, has better special effects, has better writing, is way more entertaining, has better character development (all the historical figures are pretty one-dimensional. the grim reaper, the maidens, the evil clones, and station were all a way more developed supporting cast), and is just a cooler concept on its own - even if that's pretty subjective.

i grew up associating it with the early political groups like Moss Icon, Rites Of Spring, Gray Matter, etc

the screamo scene of the 90s always seemed like the natural successor of that to me with groups like Yaphet Kotto, Antioch Arrow, and Combatwoundedveteran

im definitely a fan of the stuff but a lot of the big second wave names like Sunny Day Real Estate, Capn Jazz, American Football, etc all felt more in line with indie rock than emo to me, but Im comfortable with calling them either

theres a lot of similarly indie adjacent groups like Bright Eyes and The Get Up Kids that Im also big fans of that get erroneously associated with emo, but Ive always felt they belong to other genres, but Ive very much mellowed out on that and just let others say what they like

its with the mainstream emo explosion with groups like this topic is about where I never really could hear the similarities with the original emo scene, at best they always sounded like they vaguely using second wave groups and pop punk as reference points. Ive always kinda called that fake emo which I know seems a little snobbish but Im coming around on it, and Im totally cool with jamming out to some 30STM or MCR type stuff

and then theres the various emo revival groups that have come up this past decade like Touche Amore, Dad Thighs, World is a Beautiful Place, etc which I think have been pretty dang great at blending screamo sounds and more second wave and even post rock influence

If we were gonna get genre nerdy i wouldn't refer to revolution summery stuff as emo as much as I'd refer to stuff like julia, don Martin 3, plunger, still life, etc. as emo

And early get up kids is still pretty pop punky, sure - but four minute mile is just as much post emo-y as the promise ring, early jimmy eat world, braid, etc.

But i totally appreciate that you're not calling that emotive pop punk stuff emo or using emo as a banal insult
