Like that seems completely unconventional and strange to me.

Eminem is objectively more talented. Like his lyrics, rhyme schemes and bars are much more complex than any rap or song Kid Rock wrote.
But Eminem's, "I grew up in a trailer park, and I hate my baby momma and beat her" aesthetic is insanely lame and off-putting. His aesthetic alone makes him as bad as Kid Rock, who at least could've been cool to a ten year old with his red pimp suits and Las Vegas prostitutes.

Yeah I think I agree, tc. I don't think an available Pokemon reshuffle is a bad thing at all, especially given the ever growing number of them. Lots of the complaints about it seem to revolve around how inherently bad it is to have less Pokemon without much actual thought or justification put into it.

But yeah obviously it seems plenty of other things about the games are bad too

I'll totally admit to the other faults.
The other faults I pointed out literally changed my mind on whether or not I'll purchase the game. I'm definitely not spending like half a day's work after taxes to get something that I'll beat in a weekend, doesn't have a ton of replay value, and has tons of flaws.
I just am annoyed with the Dexit complaints, and I'm glad you agree. I'm glad someone agrees who isn't Duncan.

I don't have issues - I just hate shitty, unreasonable fanbases.
Like I said in another thread - I've been playing gatcha games ever since I got a smart phone, and I'm so sick of their respective reddits having posters complaining about comparatively GOOD drop-rates (like 5% or 8%? Those are GREAT compared to games like Valkyrie Connect), suggest things like SSR Selection Tickets (which only make sense in games with huge card pools, otherwise why would the company intentionally break their game and destroy all potential profit?), or the terrible suggestion of trading (meaning people with multiple devices would literally re-roll on multiple different devices, trade the best rolls all to one device and literally not spend a dime).
Recently I also watched a video of a dude comparing Diablo 2 to Diablo 3 with some of the lamest arguments as to why 2 was better. It was infuriating. All he did was bash Blizzard the whole time, too - and it was obnoxious.

I hate unreasonable, obnoxious fanbases that are incapable of actually thinking.

So you are saying they were purposely cutting competitively significant Pokemon to change up the competitive landscape, but at the same time they are also cutting competitively insignificant Pokemon?

I seriously doubt they were putting too much thought into the competitive landscape at all.

And frankly the cuts aren't going to get rid of meta-centering Pokemon, it'll just change who they are. Watch Excadrill become a very serious problem, very quickly.

I'm going by what I read someone else say, and it makes sense. Literally everybody talked about Garchomp and Skarmory back around Gen 5.
I'll agree that Excadrill is a big blindsight, though. You're definitely right about that and that definitely serves as a counterargument.

I'll use Gen 1 for an example, since I didn't really watch the tv show after gen 1 and played every generation retroactively starting with Gen 5. From growing up when Gen 1 came out and hearing everybody around me talk about it constantly, I'll say.

They kept iconic first gen Pokemon like Butterfree, Pikachu, Charmander, Clefairy, Vulpix, Meowth, Onix, Gengar, Koffing, Gyrados, Lapras, the Eeveelutions, Snorlax, and Mew.
They kept Machop, one of the most popular Pokemon in Japan. They kept Farfetch'd because they gave him an evolution. They kept some unique Pokemon that had strong, fringe fanbases like Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee/Ditto/Mr.Mime.

And they took out stuff like Jynx, Beedrill, Fearow, Dewgong, Drowzee, and Voltorb that most people don't care about.

The reason Dexit is a problem is that their reasoning behind it, that they wanted to improve the animations and focus on other features, is either just an outright lie (the games animation have no notable improvement and there are more features cut than added) or that Game Freak is legitimately incompetent and that they needed to cut those Pokemon to get the product we currently subpar product we currently have.

If the game came out looking like Super Mario Odyssey, with the Pokemon they didn't cut having fleshed out animations, robust new features, and popular old features, then people would have been much more forgiving of the Dexit. As it stands now, they were cut and there seems little to show for their culling.

And don't you be badmouthing Starmie.

Granted I never played competitive, and I haven't looked up anything since Gen 5 --
but lots of the Pokemon they cut were either meta-defining Pokemon that were overused in competitive play (Skarmory, Garchomp, Salamence, etc.), were starters (many of which had mega-evolutions, or aren't very necessary outside of competitive play or nostalgia because even though their movesets are vastly different their typings and cumulative stats are similar), or were legendaries (and we don't need THAT many legendaries, especially if you were expecting them to shove them in the game. what - are they going to have like 20 different optional dungeons with the legendaries at the end?).

The cuts made perfect sense if they wanted to reboot the franchise and re-establish a different competitive atmosphere without power-creeping existing Pokemon. Plus many of the ones they kept were literally the iconic or popular Pokemon you'd "expect" them to keep outside of starters and legendaries.

Many times when I was younger.

Before I had a cellphone I had a friend tell me to pick him up in front of a house on x street off of x major street. My friends and I had problems find ing the road, and it was late at night -- and being dumb and 19 I was yelling his name out the window at like 11:30 pm. I turned around in a parking lot that ended up having a state trooper vehicle parked in it. About 10 minutes later I get pulled over because someone reported "a suspicious car going in 'tons' of driveways."
I've always been drug and alcohol free, and when the cop asked me if I've been drinking, I told him, "no, I don't fucking drink." The cop ended up being a total asshole after that, and stalked me for months - pulling me over about my 'rear license plate light' not being bright enough, and doing like 31 in a 25. The same cop gave me like 3 or 4 different tickets to the point I almost lost my license. After I got a new car I literally went years with only getting pulled over one more time ---

In my next car I got pulled over in a school zone in a somewhat slightly more boujie area. The cop was a total meathead asshat looking guy with a super fake deep voice and bulging muscles. He asked me for my license and registration - and because it was a new car, I forgot where I'd put my registration and looked in the little pocket behind the seat. He immediately got really angry and yelled like, "KEEP YOURSELF IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE" -- and I just told him, "it's not like I have a fucking gun or something." He got super pissed and gave me a huge ticket and attitude.

Even though I think people are being babies about Dexit and the majority of cuts make sense (literally every single decision in Gen 1 made sense other than no Scyther and Abra) -- I will admit that the even easier difficulty, the short length of the main storyline, the move cut, and the not being able to catch higher level Pokemon are all big deals.
I probably won't buy the game now because of those things and its high price (honestly - if I'm going to buy a full price, AAA game right now I'll probably just re-buy DQ11 on the Switch) -- but I still think Dexit complainers are babies.

Stuff like any of the meta starters (Blaziken, Greninja) and then others like the fossil Pokemon (Omanyte, Kabuto, etc), pseudo legendaries (Metagross, Salamence, Garchomp) and various others that see plenty of enjoyment for use like Alakazam, Talonflame, Lycanroc, Luxray, and Zoroark.

So, youre a dietician right? Is it truly JUST CiCo for weight loss? Not saying you should just eat very small amounts of crap, but could you do that and successfully lose the same weight as if you are strictly healthy (at least by say AHA standards which is one of the top diets thats actually evidence based)

To give you some background so you don't think I'm super, super qualified. I think I'm more qualified than a good majority of people on CE who seem to have crazy opinions and THINK they're qualified -- but I'm not quite an RD XD

That said --
I'd say, in the broadest sense, being a healthy weight doesn't necessarily mean you're healthy. Your labs, mental health, cognitive health, etc. are just as important -- and some diets may help with weight, but negatively impact you in those areas. Dieting should never just be about weight loss - it should be about finding small lifestyle changes you can make that are sustainable.

Food is the most personal thing to most humans next to sex; cultures and traditions can be totally defined by food. Depriving yourself of the enjoyment of food isn't healthy in a cultural sense, in my opinion. Plus we identify eating disorders as much more than just anorexia or bulimia; severe limitation of what you eat can be considered an eating disorder (ie. only eating foods of a certain color, only eating chicken tendies, etc.), binge eating without purging is identified as an eating disorder, excessive/obsessive exercising to achieve a caloric deficit to the point that you're actually hurting your body is also an eating disorder.

If by the AHA diet you're referring to the DASH diet - then it IS preferable to eating smaller amounts of calorically dense, non-nutrient rich foods and empty calories. The DASH diet ensures that you're not eating too much sodium, that you're getting a proper macro-nutrient distribution, you're getting enough of each fat, you're getting enough dietary fiber, etc.

As far as following a "restrictive" (mostly just in its sodium limit) diet like DASH vs. just eating normally and keeping a deficit -- if the former is too difficult to maintain and would cause mental or emotional stress, then the latter could be preferable, at least in my opinion. I'm sure you're aware of how much stress can impact your health -- and making sure your life is culturally rich and you're still able to enjoy life with those around you is important, too.

I don't know if that answers at all? I probably didn't say anything you don't already know.
But if you want an interesting journal article to read about the timing of eating, lol:

Diet or no?

Diets or diet flavored things?

As for diets - strict restriction usually leads to yo-yo dieting. Nutrition counseling should be individualized. Not everyone is capable of the same changes at the same capacity. Finding out what's attainable and sustainable is what's important -- figuring out small lifestyle changes a person can make and keep up with, so it doesn't feel as daunting and doesn't feel like major change. I know people say the same thing about exercise, "do what's fun for you physically, and it won't feel like exercise."

Diet flavored things I'm a fan of, but I know they can lead to metabolic disorder and just overall mess with your metabolism. The artificial sweeteners "causing cancer" isn't the issue -- Splenda isn't carcinogenic and the other non-nutritive sweeteners you'd need a ton for it to actually significantly increase your chances of developing brain cancer. Ideally they're fine in small amounts, and can be great for diabetics or anybody who needs to watch their sugar intake -- but in large amounts they can be just as harmful by affecting your metabolism. I'm a hypocrite, though, and I drink tons of them and it probably doesn't do me any favors.
