i'm guilty of this, and what's worse is i rarely do it correctly......

I worked on an oil rig. Made $26/hr, put in 84 hours a week (worked 2 weeks and was off 2 weeks) but i was living in Cali and working in Texas. Flew down for 2 weeks, flew back for 2 weeks. Did it for 4 years, in 2015 the oilfield tanked.

Instead of laying anyone off, they busted up the way the pay schedules were (payweek all of a sudden started halfway thru the week before we got there, so instead of 44 hours overtime on 2 paychecks, it was 3 paychecks with significantly less over time)

I bounced without a word.
