I like grinding to a degree. if I can grind for an hour or two at various points in the game and be much stronger than you need, cool. Then at the end I may grind to level 100 or whatever the max is if feasible.

What I don't like are the games where 1-2 hours grinding is maybe one level, and getting to max level is a dang marathon

I know a guy who claimed his wife would drink a 12 pack of diet dr. pepper every day. Now, there aren't many calories in diet soda(this amount in a day may have 100 or less) but it's still bad for you...

And imagine these people don't even drink water, the water they get is just what's still left in the soda after all the crap was added.

Though I am not opposed to soda once in a while. A couple times a month I have a can of either diet or non diet but every single day is no.

switching to water from a lifetime of soda is one of the quickest ways to lose weight, at least initially. Some people drink well over 1,000 calories a day in straight soda, so cutting that out will absolutely help you.

I am making ribs today. My plan is to make them low and slow in the oven for 3 or more hours, finish them on the grill. That seems to be the basics of making delicious fall off the bone ribs.

His scale isn't difficult and he does explain his scale in his videos, but I wonder how many people actually understand though...like half guest reviewers wanna give the pizza a 10, which dave never does. so people might see the majority of his scores in the 7s or so and think everything is meh.

Maybe people are smarter than I think, i do not know.

My take on Dave is he does come off as a douche at times, but his videos are interesting.

Though there is something. His scale is a little weird. Like, a 6.4 isn't amazing pizza but it's decent. People may look at a 6.4 and just think it sucks, but 6.4 is decent. a 7.2 is "pretty good" but people also may not realize his scale. He also scores most neapolitan pizzas a 6.8, which if that is what you make you might get branded a 6.8 which, if people don't know daves scale, that's a fine neapolitian pizza.

What I always dislike with this kind of stuff is the fact he can destroy a business I feel like if it gets a low score. Which, sure, if the pizza sucks it sucks but it's weird one guy can basically set the tone. Or what if you own a pizza place that has great pizza and you make good money as the owner. Dave shows up, gives you an 8.8, a really high score for him, and for the next several weeks/months you are slammed all day to the wall. You'd think that'd be good, but maybe the owner was content before and aggravated now.

Just seems weird one single guy can affect so much. But the videos themselves are entertaining to me.

I like the harmless gimmicks like Larry. I don't really like these gimmicks that are just here to harass people and cause drama. Hell I even liked Duckbear because he was over the top crazy but he never seemed to actually target users or cause much drama outside of people being obsessed with Ducky in some ways.

Whenever certain users are talked about there always seems to be a month old gimmick or much older recycled account going "guhh, I've never heard the story of X with the Y, can anybody explain it to me?" and it's like, everybody here knows the story, and I am not really sure why a "month old" "first time" "user" would be that interested in board drama of a board they just came to.

The whole headphone jack thing is stupid to me because an adapter is just another dumb thing you have to buy that you didn't always have to buy. That's most of the complaint, because headphones are not obsolete technology but they make them slightly harder to use. I didn't give a shit when they stopped shoving a CD drive into everything.

The screen is cracked. I've been fine with it but time to move on.

I have used digital audio players concurrently with phones and have used them a lot, so I definitely wouldn't use it once and stop. other than needing a second device(which doesnt bother me) it'll suit my needs better than something like my last phone did.

I also do not use streaming. I have thousands of high quality audio files on an sd card and my PC hard drive. Some of this music isn't on streaming, and I very rarely wish I had a song at my disposal that I do not already have downloaded. If I do, there is youtube. Doesn't help me while driving as I can't be distracted like that but it is good enough.

The ones I have had before were set up in such a way with tactile keys that I could be listening to random, switch songs, want to listen to that band or album on its own, and switch all of that without ever needing to look at the screen, though I would need to skip over songs if I wanted one off the album only. My phone couldn't do that because the side volume keys were exclusively for volume, and not track control which I would have wanted. I couldn't change them in the app I was using(poweramp) without doing some system stuff to the OS(I think). There are reasons I want a dedicated digital audio player that are more than just being a curmudgeonly asshole, I promise.

My solution is going to in fact be the most expensive one yet: if I can't get my Fiio X2 running again, I'm going to buy a digital audio player. Besides, that's what I've really wanted this entire time. It may not make sense to some, but they may not make sense to me.

When I fly and have the window seat I generally keep it closed in the day time but I open it up a few times to see the scenery. Or i'll crack it open some but not all the way. One time I asked the person next to me if they wanted it open or closed because I didn't care either way. I've flown enough to where seeing the Earth from the sky isn't terribly exciting anymore. meh.

The point of the parent post seemed to be it is infuriating when people think they can just invade your space without asking, it's a dick move to close the window without asking, and if you want the window seat, pay for it or select it when you pick your seats. I agree, people shouldn't reach over you to close the window. Ask nicely and if the answer is no, so be it.

But the hypotheticals with how to deal with the asshole who thinks they can just close the window, to me, are quite funny.

I was reading something about a guy on a flight with the window seat and the window opened. the middle seat person reached over to close it. This isn't so much about that as one particular person's hypothetical. It was about needing the window open to prevent airsickness or whatever. They said that if the person wants the window closed, they can watch as I throw up next to them and then make them hold the bags with my puke in it for the entire flight.

I get people don't actually think these hypotheticals through especially when they get outraged over a strangers post on the internet, but that isn't at all how it's going to work.

My sister asked if I wanted to join her plan. I said yes because unlimited data means I will save money over what I use now.

However, the phone I got doesn't have either. I should have done my research first but that's on me. I just forgot. Opting for Android over Apple had me thinking I didn't need to worry, but again my fault for not doing more research into the phone I was getting.

This is kind of stupid if you ask me, because the only reasons I can figure they would remove these options is to save money and gain money so you can pay for dongles and storage services.

So, I effectively cannot listen to music on this thing, as I refuse to use a dongle to connect my headphones and no SD card slot means I can't bring my music to it, also for the headphone reason I wouldn't even bother.

Now, I know I just went on about how the remove these features to make you pay more money in the end, but this is actually going to be the motivator to buy myself a digital audio player again. I was using my old cell phone for this purpose, and I am keeping it now until I get a DAP.

People said using a cell phone as a digital audio player was just as good. I knew it wouldn't be but to save money I did go that route. It was pretty terrible in many ways, and not really better in any except not needing to carry two devices.

I am playing Chelsea in the English FA Cup as Gainsborough Trinity, a team I have elevated to League 2(fourth on the English football pyramid). I have cheated and given myself a billion dollars and increased my reputation a little so I could sign decent players. My team is currently a fringe premier league side in terms of talent. I did raise their reputation so I could sign players several levels from where I was at but I cannot sign actual superstars as of yet.

I am the underdog vs Chelsea, but somehow I go into the half with a 2-0 lead.

I'm with Ace. They did some horrible things that are unforgiveable, but two decades of people being obsessed and bullying them definitely didn't help at all. Of course, Chris Chan did put themselves out there and weren't just sitting quietly in a corner the whole time, but people need to realize extreme mental issues and people making entire forums to shit on somebody, for example, do not help and make you a terrible person for participating in it, even if all it is words on a screen 6 people might read.

I bought 70 shares of AMC for like 5 a piece or whatever, sold it weeks later at a $300 profit because i figured that was good enough for an experiment i've never tried before(trading stocks)

a month later i could have made 7 grand. Ouch. Rookie mistake I guess even though stock prices seem semi-random.

What I would not have done is kept holding on once a good profit could be made, so if I still had it I would have peaced out with a 7 grand profit.

Oh well, live and learn. I really don't beat myself up over it but it is unfortunate.

Penance is bullshit. I did it once legit but second time I used yojimbo. I didn't think I used or paid him enough yet he came in and did it for me.

Penance is one of those fights I'll say it's perfectly acceptable to take the easy way out. From what I recall you need the quick hits ability. Without that I don't think you can win. Then it's just timing and following a precise routine. But it's frustrating and stupid and more stupid than challenging.
