Would it be a hot take to say that, in general, Final Fantasy regular battle themes aren't very good? They always seem to be near the bottom in every Final Fantasy game that I can think of.

Boss music, on the other hand, pretty much always ranges from great to awesome. Although... the final boss music usually isn't as good as mid game boss music.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

It's strange, when I pointed out Bernie could skip the primary and win with ranked choice voting everyone just went back to talking about the 2 party primary.

The primary system is bad just like the electoral college is bad. They both favor conservatives.

I agree with you. Ranked choice would help things a lot.

However, no matter what we do, any system that chooses candidates is probably always going to skew conservative. This is because they always get less people voting than the general elections. And conservatives always vote more when turnout is low.

That's the real reason Bernie and Warren couldn't win. The people who support them just don't vote in primaries. The only way candidates like that have a real shot at making it to the general election is if the democratic party's center shifts far enough left that even counting conservative and centrists they have a majority, or young people and progressives start showing up in much bigger numbers.

"Homicide" is a blanket term that includes both criminal and non-criminal acts. For example, if you kill in self defense that's considered a justifiable homicide. Or if someone dies in a car accident that's your fault, it's a homicide and you will probably be legally responsible, but under most circumstances it's not a crime.

But also, the books and movies make a point of driving home how important it is that they move secretly and avoid being detected by Sauron as they move through Mordor. How the idea EVER caught on that giant birds flying in the open sky would be a good idea is beyond me.

Oh, I got REALLY lucky in the beginning. I noticed "bean," but accidentally entered "beani" and noticed another "e" next to it. After that it was easy.

That's true. I suppose there's a non-zero % chance that I actually use that money at some point.

If you're not confident you can resist using the money at least until you can easily pay back the remainder, don't do it.

Also if you use the money, it's not in the account collecting interest, which defeats the whole purpose.

I don't think anyone opposed to the bill is saying Tik Tok doesn't have any problems. But those problems are endemic to social media in general. Our issue is that Tik Tok is clearly being singled out. And no one has found any evidence that Tik Tok is any worse than other social media. All they have is vague accusations (with no evidence other than the fact that they used to be headquartered in China) that the CCP is controlling the company and using it to spy on us somehow.

So now we have this xenophobic law that will take away something that younger people really enjoy, and since it leaves all the other tech companies alone, there will be no benefit to society. We'll just have all the same problems on the American-owned apps.

Well Dungeons and Dragons is obviously too big. Roleplay works in the puzzle but I think it's as overly broad as fantasy so I see no improvement there.

Their call to action worked, but yes it didn't work to sway the way reps voted.

Companies are allowed to encourage their customers to take political actions that will benefit themselves. I don't see much of a problem with something like this--it's very open and transparent.

The stuff like, for example, how Uber and Lyft lobbied behind the scenes to manipulate California laws in their favor, now THAT is a real problem.

One of the annoying things about music discussions is that, there are SO many people who act like their personal preference is an objective truth, and people who like different things are "wrong."

I mean it happens everywhere, but it seems especially common in music discussions.
