me too. I went out to pick up beer yesterday and the weather was beautiful, people playing in the park. made me feel like such a sucker honestly. I'm not exactly in isolation but spending every waking hour with my gf is creating problems.

I go out once a week to get essentials. not worried

I have only one monitor due to space, and my internet is a lot slower. but my home pc compiles way faster so that's a plus.

Blogfaqs. I grew up in BC and I don't like it anymore. Low salaries, high cost of living, depressing weather, fairly lonely feeling. Really the only advantage is that my family is here. Don't know where else I could go to though. I was thinking Montreal since it's cheap and the culture seems very different but I'd have to improve my French quite a bit, which could be a struggle early on. Toronto is too American, Ottawa is too Canadian, Calgary is Calgary. I feel trapped and I don't like it.

sounds like my gf. she is glued to her phone and constantly feeling down about all the supposedly awesome experiences people appear to be having on social media. I have tried telling her it's all fake bullshit and she won't have it. she tries hobbies until she fails once and turns back to her phone because they take effort and aren't instantly gratifying. It's honestly sad, she's addicted to social media and it's making her depressed.

that said, I can help her deal with it. it's not something I would break up with her over, especially since we live together. she is always available to support me too so I should be able to return the favour. it can be hard but relationships all take a lot of work.

Smash Ultimate would be good too if you have friends. I like the game, I tried playing with my girlfriend but she sucks too bad and gets mad when she loses.

I think Europeans are bilingual mostly from great exposure to English. Bilingualism in the UK is rare.

There isn't much incentive for English speakers to learn another language. For non-English speakers, the incentive is to gain access to literally 99% of all the cool shit in media, whether it's TV, movies, video games, or the internet.

Almost every person that I know that learned English as a second language did so through exposure. I know a South Korean guy that claimed he learned English as a kid mostly by watching the Pokemon anime. I've heard from people online that learned English by playing Runescape and needing to learn how to converse with the mostly English player base.

As a Canadian if you learn French you could gain access to the hidden 10th province! With the cheapest rents in the country. Then again, if all of us knew French maybe it would be just as bad as Ontario.

So many Europeans are bilingual, right? how fucking hard could it be to have kids learn a language? we sat in French class like every day for 8 years. can't believe how little most know. I took one French class in University and I think in 6 hours a week for 3 months I got a further understanding of the language than the entire 8 years of grade school. they really didn't teach us anything during that time. What a waste.

Idk what I got exactly but it was fantastic. Black ramen with pork belly is what it was called. Lots of garlic and onions.

I make this at home. with nissin demae ramen packets but also fresh meat, eggs, and veggies. so uhh that cancels out the processedness of the stock flavour. perfectly seared+braised pork belly is the key. also, 8 minute eggs.

I hate how you have to buy 2 packs. even between me and my girlfriend we can only eat 1 pack before they expire, ok? they are more like small cakes than muffins, ok?

wheat for the regular sandwich but white has its uses. thick cut white for french toast and also brioche buns for burgers.

I was enjoying clicking heads the most out of any playstyle with turret guy so it's good I switched to zer0 since he has a sniper skill tree. I had no idea. should probably have researched a bit.

I agree, no idea why anyone would drink soda when such things as Beer exist.

what I used to do is just put together a random team, play a dozen matches and try to analyze why you lost. for example, you consistently have no counter to sweeper mon X, look up its counters on Smogon and try to integrate mon Y on your team. or if you're taking too much damage from hazards maybe you need a spinner or something.

it used to be easier to build in gen 4 when you had to have a Lead and the only wall was skarmbliss. things done changed

It's pretty good but I feel like I've played this exact game before. but I've only played BL1 and that was 10 years ago. is there something different about this one? it has really high reviews but I've been driving around an empty desert and shooting the same 5 enemies with the same 5 guns for 10 hours so far. which is how I remembered the first one... Good fun for a while but I couldn't finish it due to the monotony.
