8/10. Was never a huge fan, but it was pretty well-written with some clever puns.

Did Mark Evanier write that?

Not sure who that is, but I don't believe he worked on Legally Blonde: The Musical.

Heath Ledger still depresses me, given that TDKR might have been a much cooler movie. Paul Walker's death occasionally bums me out as well.

Eddie Guerrero was the first time I cried over a celeb death, although there were a lot of celebs I liked who died before he did -- like John Candy and Rodney Dangerfield.

Pay my fucking taxes, buy a moderate-sized island somewhere and build a green-friendly settlement, invest the rest, and build a dynasty that lasts a thousand years.

I honestly can't imagine going without working, but I'd likely work fewer hours (and more selectively) in addition to taking up creative endeavors.

not take lump some. yearly payment is the smart choice.

pay off debt.
buy a decent house with some space between myself and neighbors.
get a nice car.
live off the interest.

Lump sum can make more money if you actually invest it.

yearly payments = more than lump sum

However, you can make more money in the long run by taking the lump sum -- assuming that you're not just squandering it or taking terrible advice.

idk, given the nature of most youth deaths -- including a tenth which are directly attributed to alcohol -- I'm guessing he has a very different definition of "good" and it likely doesn't represent a moral evaluation.

In all likelihood, the "good dying young" doesn't make us terrible, it makes us boring. After all, young deaths are attributed to high-risk (ie, exciting) behaviors.

And by wicked I mean, straight evil. Like, when its obvious they did it and the trial is just a formality at that point. How can you fight to get this person off the hook?

If it's a done deal, you try to plead out. Otherwise, lawyers aren't supposed to be privy to certain details could potentially implicate them in a crime. Like if you were a lawyer and you witnessed your client ask to have a hit put on somebody, you're *supposed* to report that because you're an officer of the court. Attorney-Client privilege only covers so much.

And, of course, some lawyers will refuse to represent clients who they believe are guilty of certain crimes.

Lawyers get a bad reputation, simply because you usually only see lawyers do what they do....when SOMEONE has broken the law.

If people would stop breaking the law, lawyers would no longer serve a purpose.

They are a necessary profession.

It also doesn't help that the laws are constantly changing, and are complicated as all hell....so some people need to hire a lawyer to sort through the fine print. And they won't do it for free.....because why would anyone want to work for nothing?

For every ONE lawyer that defends a monster who is 100% guilty.................there are a THOUSAND lawyers out there defending innocent people who refuse to be victimized by the convoluted legal system.

This, tbh. The law has become so onerous, complex, and opaque that you need a professional.

TopicWhats your top 10 Mario games?

I have a hard time ranking them. The list would probably consist of the following, but not sure of the order:

SMB3
SM64
MK7
New SMB Wii
SMG (counting both games as one entry because it was intended to be a single game)
SMRPG
Super Mario Party (well, one of the first 3. Can't remember which I liked best)
Placeholder, maybe another Party
Placeholder, maybe SMB2
Placeholder, maybe NSMB2

Granted, I haven't played Odyssey yet, nor have I played SMG2 (one more reason to put them as one entry), I've missed a few of the Mario Karts (although I prefer the 3DS one to the Wii one.. maybe just because it's portable),
