However, as far as superheroes are concerned, there *are* some genre-defining characteristics including the dual identity (which is why some western comic characters, like John Constantine, arguably aren't superheroes (by contrast, you have characters like Vision who have no dual identity who are superheroes by virtue of being on a superhero team which meets those conventions)). Therefore you *could* argue that Sailor Moon broadly fits the definition of a superhero, but Team Urameshi and the Z Fighters clearly would not (although the Great Saiyaman comes close). It was great the he had a terrible fake British accent and called everyone "Peasants." Yeah, that was fucking awesome although Sharmell's "All hail King Booker!" chants got grating after the first *five* minutes of his ring entrance. All in all, he's probably my fave King of the Ring. I loved his feud with Benoit over the US title during that time when "Sir" Fit Finlay did all of the actual wrestling on Booker's behalf. The Wave Master posted... The second thing was his horrible,but funny, fued with The Boogeyman where he screamed and cried how much he hated, "That Worm Eating Bastard." It was a fun feud. Boogeyman was great until he got into the ring and actually had to wrestle. It was one of those cases where the gimmick is great, but the actual ability wasn't there. The Wave Master posted... I've been trying to mention that in South Park: The Fractured but Whole that if you start the game as a minority (Basically Black) the game difficulty is harder. The choices are less favorable, people treat you worse, and overall life in the game is more of a challenge. While I don't buy into it, I find the mechanic amusing. As much as I liked his ability to cut a promo and his heel stables, the guy couldn't work a match for crap and he had one of the worst finishers (I think I only rank Big Show's "Knockout Punch" as a lazier finish although, in terms of just outright bad finishing moves, I've always hated the hokiness of Rey Mysterio's 619 despite admiring the athleticism involved) The Wave Master posted... The only thing she remembers about Corey Graves isn't his stint in NXT, but the fact that he's never not given money to a tatoo parlor. Look at him, he's a walking back alley tatoo parlor billboard. Or he's helping one particular tatoo artist put his kod's through college. I kinda regret not getting into NXT early enough to see his wrestling run since I'm somewhat curious about that. The Wave Master posted... Either way he's what we got on commentary and he's better than The King verbally sexually harrasing all the female wrestlers every single match. "Puppies!" I miss CM Punk. He was great in the ring and on commentary and he was awesome at cutting promos. He's probably the only person who could get me watching WWE on a regular basis again. The success of Static Shock showed that relatively minor black superheroes *can* work incredibly well on tv. Plus NFI's Luke Cage has helped pave the way there. And, not for nothing, but Black Lightning looks like it's going to be great. The first season rehashes a lot of stuff from the BBC version but the BBC version did it better.
