Are snowboarding games still around? They were all the rage in the late 90's/early 00's but I haven't thought about them in a while. I've never really been able to get into them much.

This was a job for Google, cause even I didn't know!

Late 90s gave us Cool Boarders and 1080 of course. Early 2000s gave us SSX, Amped, and Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarding (released in the same Activision extreme phase as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, and Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer).

But after that? Shaun White Snowboarding in 2008, an SSX reboot in 2012, and Steep in 2016. The extreme sports phase died pretty much, though the remake of THPS 1-2 could change that!

DKC didn't come to play as Dixie's adventure embarrasses Earthsiege in its opener. Vectorman gets a decent win, and Quake looks respectable in its victory. Persona, on the other hand, just avoids getting upset by a game that is not only a PC exclusive, but a PC exclusive based on a sport that isn't popular here.

This site in general, let alone Board 8, could care less about traditional sports games. In fact, the only one to ever win a match in any of my tournaments was Madden '04 in the 2003 tournament. NASCAR 2 didn't go to the winner's circle, but it looked like a champ in its loss.

Noted, and I've enjoyed your posts on these so far Para. I'll even add some insight of my own!

DKC3 sometimes gets flak for having a nearly similar plot to the 2nd game and for the existence of Kiddy Kong, but I enjoyed it. The overworld was different and fresh as well, though 2 will always be the best in the series. Sadly I can't vouch for Earthsiege 2, though it looks like something I'd enjoy for a bit.

When Sega went third party for everyone, I was (and still am) surprised that we never saw a 3D Vectorman. I know they wanted to do so for Saturn and PS2, but it never became a reality.

Persona 1 is a chore to play through. How we eventually got 3 through 5 all in top notch quality, I'll never know.

I'll always enjoy and respect the first Quake (I even grew up on the vastly inferior N64 version), but Deception was something else. When I learned there was a strategy RPG dedicated to setting up traps in a medieval/dark setting, I was sold. Deception III a few years later was an absolutely underrated gem.

I'm curious now as to what the Ultimate Grand Slam Champion is. At first I thought all 4 titles, plus King of the Ring, the Rumble, and MITB, but Edge has done that as well.

5 was the turning point, though Hardhome is one of the show's best episodes. 6 was a step in the right direction. 7 had a few hiccups along the way. 8 was just a mess outside of maybe 1 or 2 episodes.

Other things of note...

With its victory, SF Alpha 2 matches the run by SF Alpha 3, which made it to round 2 of the 98 tournament.

With its loss, Blood Omen finishes off the runs by Legacy of Kain in all the contests, as the series goes 2-3 overall; Soul Reaver was responsible for both wins.

Suikoden now moves up to 5-5 overall. The series' best run was II in the 99 tournament.

The only game that looked dominant here was Suikoden, disposing of DOA quickly. Crash looked decent at best failing to double a well-respected 4 seed, Street Fighter Alpha 2 eventually puts down Legacy of Kain in the end, and holy hell @ the 2/15 match. Carmen Sandiego led on two different occasions against one of the Super Nintendo's more respected RPGs. Lufia needed a string of votes in the end to avoid becoming the 2nd #2 seed in tournament history to be upset in round 1.

What's crazy is that there's a second Carmen Sandiego game as a #15 seed later on.

WWE continued putting on wrestling shows, but with no fans in the stands for safety reasons. Sure, makes sense. They put on the same trash they've been putting on for the entire PG era, and they hit new record lows for viewership every week. They're now below peak TNA numbers, just FYI. You guys think Fox is regretting that TV deal yet?

Vince took the hint and finally made a crowd using the low end NXT wrestlers. They were even advertised as practicing social distancing (until they were necessary to pull apart Drew McIntyre and Lashley later on. Yeah that's right, WWE's pulling in TNA numbers, so why not have a TNA feud for the WWE title >_> )

Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite show and I was satisfied with the way it ended.

SPOILERS BELOW

Was Walter White a hero? In his own mind yes, though the endgame was evil killing evil. He had to make things right and get revenge on Jack, Todd, and the rest of their gang; I stand by the belief that the beginning of Ozymandias was the true death of Heisenberg. Of course Walt's actions in Felina would never make up for his actions in the rest of the series, but the point stands.

The final eight episodes of the series will forever be my favorite final stretch of any show. As already mentioned, a key highlight is Walt finally admitting his actions were for his own sense of satisfaction.

This is why no one went to see Men In Black International, Birds of Prey, Ghostbusters 2016, Charlie's Angels 2019, Batwoman on CW

The only one I can vouch for on here with the SJW backlash is Ghostbusters, and that deserved all the criticism it got. No one watched MIB International because the originals weren't there. No one watched Charlie's Angels 2019 cause it was a reboot literally no one asked for. Can't say anything on my end for Birds of Prey.

As for Batwoman, the Arrowverse is getting way out of hand now. For someone brand new to any of it, they'd now have to watch the following: Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning (maybe not completely) and now Batwoman who's already recasting the lead role after one season. Five of these six shows are still ongoing. I stuck to the first 3 mentioned, because by the time I got to Supergirl, I was burned out on Arrowverse, not to mention it stopped being good after one season.

While a strong episode, I'll personally put my vote in for 8x02 "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms". The rest of the season might have been a total wash, but I enjoyed the calm before the storm.
