At this point in 2002, DDP was suffering a few injuries he had sustained from a match with Hardcore Holly, so WWE just let his contract expire and DDP left on good terms. In fact, it was the first departure for any Alliance member since Brian Adams and Bryan Clark were released in September 2001.

And also for Vince winning 100% control of the WWE, the biggest assist was from Brock Lesnar, who delivered an F5 to Ric Flair. Nothing really came out of this storyline except for a one-and-done matchup between Flair and Lesnar. While it was impressive to see Flair hit a back-body drop on a nearly 300 pound man, the match was still won by Lesnar with ease.

Finally, one of the funniest most failed gimmicks of 2002 around May/June is Tommy Dreamer's. After being drafted to Raw, Dreamer's gimmick was that he was just like any other guy... except he like to put disgusting things in his mouth. This included hair, hot dogs after they've been stepped on, and sharing his toothbrush with his dog. Undertaker pwns Tommy Dreamer in one segment by forcing him to drink Taker's tobacco juice.

Have that match ON RAW, and then have the TITLE defense on PPV.

Good example: Edge and Christian won a tag team turmoil on Raw (or something like that), and faced the New Age Outlaws at Unforgiven '99 in a losing effort.
Bad example: Cryme Tyme wins a tag team turmoil at New Year's Revolution 2007, and NEVER got the title shot (no, SummerSlam 2009 doesn't count).

Bradshaw pretty much gives us the worst custom belt design ever with his version of the Hardcore title, it makes both spinner belts look godly by comparison. Thankfully, you won't see it on ppv ever.

RVD finally got the title back from Eddie in a fantastic ladder match on Raw.

Even with the random drunk guy interfering and being taken out by security, this was a very good match.

KotR happens between JD and the next ppv, and while you get to see the semi-finals on ppv, here's the rest of the bracket...

Nah, j/k. I almost want Cena/Show to main event MitB. With Trips/Brock most likely main-eventing SummerSlam, that would make 8 straight ppvs where neither world title was in the main event if MitB's ME is not a world title match.

Decent ppv at best

- They pushed the wrong Sin Cara
- WWE, we get it; Ryback needs to stop fighting no-namers on ppv
- Great match with Punk/Bryan/Kane

And the cage match was hilariously bad, as was the entire angle revolving around it. I can understand Big Show not leaving the cage early on, mainly because he wants to live by his "do what he wants, when he wants" motive. And at the end of the match when Cena was afraid to jump off the cage because of Laurinaitis threatening to hit him with his crutch. Was it laced with poison or something? Finally, the stipulations made zero sense in the first place. If Vince has the authority to fire Laurinaitis, then technically he'd have the authority to re-hire Cena had he lost last night (which is basically what would happen, given Cena's history of being fired in the past 18 months).

However, I will admit that prior to the match, I thought Big Show was going to win via botched interference from Vince with the cage door, and while that almost happened, they managed to keep us guessing for once. The question is, where do they go from here with Cena and Big Show? Just as long as they don't main event MitB (or face each other on ppv ever again).

Noteworthy fact: Cena's record against Big Show on ppv is 7-0 (7-0-2 if you count the times they were in triple-threat matches and neither man won)

Between those two top 10s, I'd easily take the 90s, with Kablam being the only show I didn't enjoy on that list, while I only liked Avatar, Foster, and ZIM from the 2000s.

The 2000s still had great cartoons though; Courage and Ed, Edd, & Eddy both in their prime, Time Squad, and several Adult Swim Shows (depending on whether or not you'd place them in the same category, since AS cartoons aren't necessarily child-friendly).

27 on Wednesday, to be exact.

Of course I thought differently when I was 16, but during his injury, Trips was pretty much super over; the crowd cheered every time he appeared on the Titantron during Survivor Series live, and it was just a tribute video, and as soon as he announced his entry in the 2002 Royal Rumble, even back then, I knew the question at hand was "Is Trips beating Jericho or Austin @ WM?"

Rock/Hogan on the other hand, was up in the air between two icons. Rock's massive popularity vs. Hogan's massive ego to determine who puts the other guy over. There's a reason why that stole the show @ Mania, and a reason why no one gave a **** afterwards about the women's title match (with GOOD competitors) and Trips burying Jericho.

Yeah. This isn't just a nostalgia thing, Nickelodeon in the 90s was a Golden Age of cartoons.

Not just that, but there were tons of non-cartoon shows to choose from, whether it be...

Game shows (Double Dare, Family Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, Wild and Crazy Kids, What Would You Do, GUTS)

or the rest/sitcoms I suppose (Salute Your Shorts, Pete and Pete, Secret World of Alex Mack, Welcome Freshmen, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Clarissa Explains It All, All That, Fifteen, Roundhouse, Hey Dude, My Brother and Me, among several others)

Spongebob is a great show. It really is. It's funny, charming, full of adult humor disguised as childish antics, and its characters are endearing.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little annoyed by Spongebob. Not to mention the well has been run dry for that show and needs to just be done.

Then we had the Secret World of Alex Mack(everyone's first celebrity crush).

This is something we can all agree on.

Just looked at Nick's schedule today. Between noon and 10 PM, there's a whopping SIX shows on. Power Rangers Samurai, an hour of Kung Fu Panda, an hour of Figure It Out, 2 hours each of Victorious and ICarly, and 2.5 hours of Spongebob.

Surely I don't recall Nick being THIS redundant in the 90s.

So just in the past two years alone, here are the "Cena is fired" matches/storylines/etc....

Bragging Rights 2010 - Orton vs. Barrett, Cena is fired if Orton wins, so Cena DQs Orton by attacking Barrett

Survivor Series 2010 - Orton vs. Barrett with Cena as guest referee. Cena is fired if Orton wins, and Cena gives Orton the clean win. However, Cena is literally rehired AND main eventing the next ppv within the following month, after spending weeks ambushing Nexus members.

Money in the Bank 2011 - Cena vs. Punk. Vince will fire Cena if he loses the belt to CM Punk. Cena loses, but before Vince can fire Cena, Trips comes out and relieves Vince of his duties.

And of course this Sunday, No Way Out 2012, with Cena AND Ace's jobs on the line.

5 was the worst. 6 and 7 were actually not bad!

I was going to dispute this, but you are right on 5 being the worst. I just didn't care much for Season 6 either, but it was still better than 5. Ironically, the season premiere of season 5 is one of my all-time favorite episodes in the series. Haven't watched 7 yet, since it's not up on Netflix. May have to search the web for that one.

3 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 6 > 5. Favorite character is easily Andy Botwin.
