Although i think this is a very VERY close consideration in evil, both having been broken in their own ways (magitek testing, horrible childhood) probably the only point that is the tipping point is that Kefka's madness came from within, where a large part of Luca's plot is that the Beast Rune as activated became an influence to his personality, whereas the warring triad just gave power to let Kefka deal with his whims.

Marik's reasoning is valid in his mind, and he has hatred for one person... the fact the crazy aspect of him exists within doesn't mean as much when it's just Marik that dealt the most of the things himself without crazy being in control.
