Kids born around the release of the 3DS are in elementary school.

Kids born around the release of the Wii are soon entering middle school.

Kids born around the release of the DS are soon entering high school.

My favorite:
https://xkcd.com/647/

Though, that comic is now about as old as 9/11 was when it was published (8 years old), so the kid in the comic is now old enough to drive.

Also, people born around the release of Space Jam will be old enough to drink in the US this year.

Hmm... Seems like most peoples' worst times were probably right after college. Makes sense.

I guess, since that's when people really start to enter the "real world."

Though for me, while that was a huge part of it, that wasn't everything. I felt there were a lot of reasons why 2014 was terrible for me that weren't related to college or career (or lack of).

I don't know who you are, but you are NOT Full Throttle. You are, at best, a Half Throttle.

I think we're down to Quarter-Throttle.

Though to be honest it might be that FT only uses "y/o" on exact ages. It's still heresy to use anything else.

I've seen him use "year old" on exact ages too. He's slipping.

For me, 2009 was the best year of my life. Though it wasn't perfect, it was the year that I realized what I wanted to do in life, I was more successful in college and extracurricular activities than I thought I'd ever be, I was doing many new things, I had some great friends, and unlike several years before and several years after, I finally started talking to my dad regularly again after not doing so for 6 years, and I had no depression. I look at that year fondly and I really miss how I was back then - not in a clinging to the past kind of way, but I legitimately like and miss the person I was back then.

2014 had nothing good going for it and the events of that year still affect me heavily today. Between people close to me committing or attempting suicide, my confidence being destroyed, losing friends, getting involved in job scams, being threatened with physical violence multiple times while facing depression with thoughts of suicide, being away from family while all the above was happening, being unemployed for months before getting a shitty job, my dad's marriage failing, and many other things, I can't think of a year that broke me as much as 2014 did - I'm still trying to get over it.

2014

2015 was really bad too, but it had some redeeming qualities. 2014 had nothing good going for it and the events of that year still affect me heavily today. Between people close to me committing or attempting suicide, my confidence being destroyed, losing friends, getting involved in job scams, being threatened with physical violence multiple times while facing depression with thoughts of suicide, being away from family while all the above was happening, being unemployed for months before getting a shitty job that made me hate my life, my dad's marriage failing, and many other things, I can't think of a year that broke me as much as 2014 did.
