It was pretty good. I'd say it was worth about 8/10, but the ending would dock it down to 7/10 because it was so painfully predictable.

The ending was better than if it had gone the other way IMO.

I liked that movie and could see myself rewatching it. I had a few small problems with it, but none big enough to stop me from enjoying it.

I'm the general public. I don't care about superheroes really.

I knew he's weak to kryptonite, which enough people know for the word to actually be a real English word used in common speech. And he's from Krypton. Sent here by his parents when it was about to explode for some reason. He was raised in rural America and kept his powers secret. He moved to a big city and became a news reporter, where he balances his job with protecting humans from dumb shit. I knew he can't see through lead, but I hadn't thought of that for a long time. And I knew he gets power from the sun. His enemy is that bald guy...Lex Luthor. Took me a second to remember his name. IDK why Lex hates Superman but he does.

Other than that, I know some of his powers--flight, strength, invincibility, ice breath, laser eyes, xray vision, enhanced hearing. And he flew around the planet in that one movie to undo the hoover dam breaking. And he is in love with Lois Lane, another reporter at the Daily Bugle or whatever, who always nearly kills herself so he can save her. Also he's meek as Clark Kent but acts confident as superman.

I also know he dies at some point in the comics, then comes back in a black suit. That's probably more than most people know, but my brother is a fan of the cartoons and so I've absorbed a little bit from him.

Oh yeah he also has a secret base in Antarctica where his father Skypes with him from the dead.

Did I get everything? I think that might be everything I know about him.

It wasn't offensive at all. The mods here are just dumb sometimes. 6 years ago they modded me for saying that Flint and Volkner might be gay for each other in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Apparently I was being homophobic. I'm gay too and both of these were dumb moderations.

At least 80% of the tags in my city are red, AKA pedophiles. I wonder why this place has so many, while Chicago apparently is more about miscellaneous other offenses. On the east side of my city, there aren't many spots where you'd have to walk more than about a few hundred feet to find a pedophile. There are a few neighborhoods in particular with clusters of 15 pedophiles very close together.

Wonder Woman's CGI is pretty bad. I wish DC would stop trying to animate human bodies, they've shown time and time again that they just suck at it.

As the theater was filling up, I decided to move closer to the center so that people wouldn't have to climb over me to get to the free seats. This woman didn't like that now I was sitting next to her, so she was jabbing her left elbow into me. I told her to share the armrest before the previews ended, and she got huffy, said she got here first and she wasn't moving. I felt a bit bad about the fat insult bc I've never done that before, but now I don't regret it at all, she had it coming for jabbing me with her elbow through the whole movie and b****ing about me having the audacity to sit next to her and want to share her armrest.

I kinda wanted to get my friend to sit on the empty seat on her other side TBH. I also tried to fart as much as possible thru the movie, but had no gas in the tank unfortunately.

I have those feelings too, but not to the same extent as the comic artist. I'm self conscious of being thought of as "the gay guy" and the first picture in the comic is a great portrayal of that. But my friends wouldn't worry about hugging me, and they don't show each other porn or anything in the first place.

That sounds fine. We don't WANT you to care. Straight people have been caring about gay people being in relationships for human history.

All we want is for you to show the same respect to gay couples that you would to straight ones. That includes not getting annoyed when we mention our boyfriends/girlfriends in casual conversation or do other stuff that normal humans do.

I often hear people say stuff like "gay people, you do you, but don't expect my support, and don't shove it down my throat" which comes across as defensive and accusatory. And when people say stuff like that, it comes across as if they're reluctant to show even the small level of support they're showing, and that they really had to let everybody know that they weren't happy about it. That's why that sort of statement feels so messed up. (I think the statement I wrote is worse than what you wrote in your post btw)

The only thing about your post that really hurts is that you say you wouldn't help a gay friend unless you were REALLY good friends with them. It's a pretty hurtful thing to say, since from that post you sound like you only feel that way about people in gay relationships but not straight ones, and if I were your friend and I heard you say that, I'd feel pretty damn alienated by you.

It's okay for the short term, simply because we'll take what we can get.

In hundreds of years from now, though, or even 50 years from now, no. There's absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality and it's ridiculous that people would merely tolerate it with reluctance in the first place. If we're still at the point where people are repulsed/offended/afraid of it in the future, something has gone wrong.

For now, I don't know if I'd say it's "good enough," I'd be closer to saying "well at least it's something, hopefully they'll stop being homophobic sooner or later"

I know a guy who did the same thing, looked for a surgeon who would do the procedure without requiring him to lose weight first. He almost died during the operation, and then continued his same lifestyle without diet or exercise. Ended up fatter than ever.

How is that possible. I don't see how it'd be physically possible to eat enough to gain weight or even maintain 500 pounds when you've had bariatric surgery.
