I can't believe Blizzard actually killed OW1 for this. I've never heard of any company deleting a game entirely the day a sequel comes out. And it's not even a sequel. I've jumped around several Twitch streams and it's the exact same game. All the maps are exactly the same. Even the hero abilities are the same. The only thing new are the characters, which just as easily could have been added to OW1. This has to be one of the most lackluster sequels of all time. Asked me years ago and I would have told you there was nothing stopping me from getting OW2. But as soon as Jeff Kaplan left, I knew this game was in trouble. I can't believe they screwed this up so terribly.

Yes, and it was amazing and I'm so sad the series is dead. This game has such an underrated soundtrack. I'm glad to see some great covers coming out recently, such as this gem:

I forgot about those. That rate is really too good to pass up. Hard to believe there's no downside aside from having your money tied up for a year. But since I intend for it to be used for retirement, that's inconsequential. Might have to go for it. I have until October apparently to lock it in at that rate.

Everything is down, stocks, gold, crypto. Meanwhile, prices keep going up. Right now the only thing that I have that isn't crashing is retired Lego sets that are sealed. I've doubled my money in just 6 to 7 years. No index fund can beat that!

I'm still trapped in Starcraft 2. Sitting at about 11k games played. I still play other games occasionally, but I always come back for my high APM fix. Everything else just feels so slow. RPGs put me to sleep now sadly.

As I've gotten older, I've learned to appreciate short and sweet. Very few games maintain the feeling of being fresh and exciting after the 20+ hour mark. I've developed an extreme intolerance for padding, which is why I can't even really play RPGs anymore like I used to.

I did a second play through of this just a few months ago. I was here for a pretty long time. Too suborn to look up the answer so I eventually got it through some combination of luck/strategy.

I just finished this season, and I have to say, this show has managed to pull off something incredible. It's so cheesy and over the top, but the ingredients are in such perfect proportions that the end result is something great. And it's also amazing how every little detail from the original movies is referenced and utilized in a meaningful way. This show is a perfect demonstration of how to respect your source material. I'm going to be so sad when it comes to an end.

For me it's the constant gasping and grunts.

Making Ariel black is actually an interesting strategy by Disney. Because now no matter how bad the movie actually is, you won't be allowed to criticize it without being labeled a racist. It's kind of how hating on Ghostbusters (2016) made you a misogynist. This means critics are going to be pressured into giving it a positive review.

It doesn't really look too terrible. Feels like it has similar vibes to the original. I'm not sure if they're just concealing the fact, but it would be a letdown if the protagonists from the original are left out entirely.

Watching this trailer just made me think about how bizarre it is to see a person sing with perfect acoustics underwater. That issue never even occurred to me in the animated version.

I was aware of its existence but never saw it. Is it one of those 'so bad it's good movies', or just bad?

This was one of the first games I got on N64. I knew I had to get it because I enjoyed the SNES one so much. Honestly, I think it has one of the best soundtracks out of any N64 game. And it's still the only game I've ever played that features a laugh track.

You can tell how fancy it is by how much plate is showing.

I was considering getting one, but after reading several reviews, it seems like they have issues with tearing, which means you'll have glass dust spilling all over the place. Also I'm afraid the weight of one is going to be too much for my washing machine.

The loot box gambling doesn't bother me because I've been simply avoiding any games that have it. But DLC is almost entirely unavoidable. When I'm searching for a game to buy, I'll see that it has five hundred DLC packs and it makes me wonder if the core game is even worth getting. What is that going to get me, the title screen and opening level? It just discourages me from even giving the game a chance. DLC is fine if it's done like an expansion pack, where you're getting a huge bundle of content, new campaign, etc. But I hate the trickling of content like weapons, costumes, and other gimmicky things that can add up to many times the cost of the core game if you were to collect it all.

The other thing I hate about DLC is that you can one day get screwed out of all the extra content if the online service goes down. In such a case, you'll only have what was on the original disk. Although that's my gripe with all online content in general.

I went to one of those massage kiosks at the mall because I thought that I should try getting a massage at least once in my life. I hear nothing but good things about them, so why not. So I told the old Asian dude that I'd like a massage. To start things off, I struggle with mounting the seat properly. It's not like a standard chair. You have to contort yourself into the letter Z while tilting forward, which gives you the lingering sensation that you're going to faceplant. And then he positions my arms on the armrests, and I notice how they're mildly worn. Then I think about the germs and how I'll have to sanitize myself aftward. Then he begins the massage and it didn't feel the way I thought it would. My back did not give in to the kneading. My muscles felt rock-hard. I felt bad for the guy. To him, it must have been like trying to massage a car tire. At one point I even heard his hand crack. And when it was over the Asian dude told me I had to relax. I had to relax!

I don't even know what relaxation is. Some people might say take a vacation, but time and time again that's been proven to be nothing but stress with an exorbitant fee attached. So I don't know what I can do, except await a premature case of heart failure.

Yeah, I can't see myself commiting that much time to a single game anymore unless it was something truly exceptional. The last one for me was Persona 5, which took me about 130 hours to get through. I really enjoyed it, but towards the end it began to overstay its welcome. Because of work, my time is just too limited. And there's too much other media I want to consume, in the way of movies, TV shows, and books.

It's not quite that extreme, but in Beyond Good and Evil, they have these orbs that are basically your stars in your 3D Marios. Collecting each one feels like a mild accomplishment. But then towards the later part of the game, there are these areas that dump like 10 on you at a time. Their only use is to purchase essential equipment, so I don't know why they didn't just lower the cost of the items you have to buy. It creates a weird pacing issue with the game, where you think you have a lot longer to go, but then you find out you don't.

It's amazing, probably my favorite show of all time. It's got the perfect blend of comedy and drama and every character is great. It has eight seasons.

Been a while since I've watched it, but I think Veronica Mars is close to what you're looking for.

I want a show that there's 1 case throughout the show that slowly happens and mostly takes a backseat to that seasons big case until the last season.

That's exactly what happens in Monk. Finding out who killed his wife doesn't get revealed until the last few episodes.

Do we have a timeframe in which it must be completed? Regardless, I'm leaning towards no. That's just too much of anything.

I've been disappointed since season 2. I really thought this show was going to take the approach of having a new paranormal threat each season. I mean, the show is called Stranger Things after all. I'm just bored of this whole upside world and these flower-faced monsters.

I'm kinda dealing with this myself right now. I'm trying to look for new shows to watch and can't find anything that holds my interest. But it extends to movies and even video games too. I think it's just something to do with modern entertainment. I have much better luck with older content. I can turn on a classic Hitchcock film or put on an episode of The Twilight Zone and get absorbed right away, but your typical present-day superhero movie bores me to death. Can't explain it, just the way it is for me.

I decide I want to go back and continue watching the Twilight Zone. I go to Netflix, where it's been forever. I type it in. Nothing shows up. Oh great, so they lost that too. So now where can I watch it? Oh, Hulu? I have that. I go to Hulu. I type it in. I try to click on it. Oh wait, this requires a different kind of plan. A special live TV plan. So how much is that? An extra 2-3 dollars? Oh no. It's ONLY $69 dollars a month! Are they out of their freakin minds?! I can buy the DVD boxset for half that. And I get to keep it. And I know it won't go anywhere! It'll be mine forever! And I only have to pay once!

I am so glad I've held onto my DVDs. I was so close to getting rid of them back when Netflix used to carry everything. I thought technology was supposed to streamline everything and make things cheaper and more efficient. But here I am forced to go back to buying DVDs to avoid being ripped off. I just can't wait to find out what new ways they'll come up with to nickel and dime us. I'm so sick of this shit.
