I finished 5 and 6. Solid films. I'd have to say 6 was probably my favorite of the three. Even knowing the general outline of the story, I could still invest in it and it elicit reactions, which is a positive for me.

Going to start the prequels tomorrow. Everyone loves those, I hear.

I was taught from a young age not to rely on Social Security even existing by the time I retire.

I work a government job and am able to pay into my own retirement. I haven't contributed to SS in over a decade. My wife and I also plan to start putting into a Roth IRA once we finish our housing renovations. I'd highly advise you all do the same if you're able.

Back when I first saw the topic, I did a quick check of the queue out of curiosity. There were five posts marked from that board. Two were not violations, and the other three didn't even pertain to who I'm assuming the subject of this is.

The removal of a specific trolling category when marking a message was to attempt to guide users to actually provide some context as to why they felt something was a violation. That gives us more to work on when investigating a mark than to just say 'trolling.' It's a very subjective category and since mods aren't assigned to boards, they may not be familiar enough with the community to have a clear picture of what's going on.

Two takeaways from this. Actually mark the posts that you feel are violations, and leave clear notes to assist moderators reviewing the mark. It's probably not a bad idea to not engage these individuals either. I lurk that board from time to time and see plenty of unnecessary engagement. Trolls thrive on that. Don't give it to them.

While this is true 99.99% of the time and I wouldn't any mod on here is a problem (Admiral getting banned means the one problem left is now gone), it's pretty undeniable that conservative opinions are moderated to absurd levels on this web site even with pristine sourcing. All it takes is enough people marking the message and it will be deleted. I've seen people get suspended on clean histories for posting the same link the president puts on Twitter, which more or less means it isn't remotely worth being in any political discussion anymore.

Not that this even remotely excuses what Admiral did, for the record. "I think Trump is a good president for the following economic reasons" is a far cry from him literally saying racial profiling is a good idea. His ban was just laughably overdue.

You have a relatively small sample size of what gets moderated on this site. The amount of people who mark a message has no bearing on whether it gets deleted. I've no-actioned obvious petty marks from multiple people countless times. More than I care to honestly. It'll get deleted if it's a violation. If it's an incorrect moderation, then it should be disputed.

You'd have no idea what history a person has on their account unless they told you, and that's assuming that they're telling the truth. And even then, a clean history does not necessarily exempt someone from a harsher account restriction.
