They people demanding them should have to show theirs as well.

If they run for president, sure.

Why is it more important to ensure the President "isn't beholden to any corrupt foreign entities" than individual lawmakers?

Because the President is more important.

Shouldn't all elected officials with an influence over policy be scrutinized?

Maybe. I can imagine there being complications in demanding the tax returns and analyzing the data of over what would be millions of candidates for over half a million positions that might make that an unpragmatic exercise.

But Presidential candidates definately should. I'd say let's cross the "all officials" bridge after that important one.

Ideally the sensible option is for it not be forced and for all candidates to release their own tax returns like every presidential candiate apart from Trump always has done. Lawmakers should do the same.

That way if someone refuses, it instantly looks dodgy as hell. Like with Trump

You however are.

but that doesn't stop you and others from arguing that even though in MUELLER'S OWN WORDS there was no collusion, that somehow there must be collusion, and that smoking gun you were hoping for must be in his tax returns.

Mueller literally never said that...

No matter how many caps you use.

BILL GATES OWN WORDS he likes to lick dogs asses.

In fact he literally said "Collusion is not a specific offense or theory of liability found in the United States Code, nor is it a term of art in federal criminal law,

"There is no such clear cut crime as 'Collusion'" and "There was no collusion" are not the same statement dude.

Mueller said a lot of shit about the Trump Administration directly working with Russia and was unhappy with Barr's summary of his findings.

You simutaniously making direct statements about exactly what is in the Mueller report that you never read and then being dishonest as fuck while aggressive calls your entire attitude into question.

Trump isn't your dad. You don't need to take valid concerns about his criminality and ability to be president as personal slights you need to lie about

So, how do Shapiro fans reconsile seeing Ben get completely obliterated in two separate interviews this week with the embarrassingly high pedestal they put him on?

To be fair, going "This guy looked like a dope in an interview, therefore nothing he has ever said had any worth or value!" is a really dumb point.

Take Transgenderism for example.

If someone says "I think Ben Shapiro has a point about Transgenders. What do you think?"

And you respond "WELL HERE'S AN INTERVIEW WHERE HE LOOKED LIKE A GOOFBALL!"

That's the definition of a non-sequitur.

I think people who "put Shapiro on a pedestal" whatever that means will go "Well he's still a man full of valid points."

Wut

People have not been shutting up about Trump's taxes since he annouced he was running for president

Da fuck are you on about?

has nothing to do with the fact that the mueller report failed to drudge up sufficiently damning evidence to prove that he colluded with Russia. The very fact that posters in this topic are outlining the play for how they're hoping to tie his finances to the Russian government to weave some sort of narrative is proof of it. The issue isn't finding things to criticize... it's digging desperately for a smoking gun.

Wut

1. You've not read the Muller report.

2. Going "People are only pointing out his ties to Russia to link the report to taxes!" is a really really really dumb and lazy evasion of blatant financial ties to Russia.

This is such a bad defense..

The other 14 weird as fuck possibly illegal shit Trump has done.

This is a weird defense. It's a very lazy dismissal of valid criticisms and potential issues.

I think we need to clarify why women's breasts sexual and male breasts aren't, cuz I dont have an answer other than "because they are and my dick get hard looking at girl boobs".

Well there are a lot of theories.

Evolutionary theory of psychology claims that it is because breasts are a sign of fertility.

Same way men sexualize thick red lips, smooth skin and wide hips. Allegedly a part of a man's unconcious instinctual brain is telling him "That would be a good mate to produce offspring."

Same theory goes to why women find size, hard work, wealth and strength attractive. Some unconcious part of her brain is telling her "This would be a good mate to defend the offspring."

Another theory is it becomes sexualized simply because society made it so. Would you really find breasts sexy in a vaccum? Plenty of men don't for example.

Or do you like breasts because you have been told that men like breasts from your childhood, and now some part of your brain tells you "To prove yourself as a man and stick out from rivals, you need a girl with nice breasts."

I mean there is also a factor of men wanting larger penises and women wanting larger boobs (as a generalization) and that has no real biological advantage, so is that just because society and our culture values the size of your equipment as a measure of success of your masculinity or femminimity?

There are certainly different fetishes that are more common in some places than others. For example the UK is the incest porn capital of the world by a wide margin. They are absolutely mad for incest fetishes there.

And you can't really chalk that up to evolution since nations like the US or France or Australia which are similar culutrally don't share the same infatuation.

Equally why is the Schoolgirl fetish so popular in Japan? You can't call that evolution either since it's not reflected with such gusto else where and Japan's birthrate is dying.

So is it societial factors? Or is it you evolutionary mind? Or both?

People living near 60-year-old Ardel Hough and his wife were stunned to hear that their 35-year-old son allegedly shot them both early Wednesday morning in their home on Grandview near Eight Mile in northwest Detroit.

Ardel, who once worked for the City of Detroit as a bus driver, was shot twice in the head.

Detroit Police said Ardel's 64-year-old wife pretended to be dead when her son kicked her body to see if she was still alive. And after he left the room, the woman was able to call her daughter who then called 911.

The couple's son, who neighbors said has been living with them for about a year, was upset because he thought they did something to his car.

Neighbors said the son got an old red Honda a few months ago, but spent more time sitting in the parked car than driving it.

Ardel's wife underwent surgery Wednesday and continues to recover at a nearby hospital with relatives by her side.

The son remains behind bars pending charges in the case.

I hate when people try to push this narrative, when white supremacists keep constantly doing it in pictures. I get that it was originally linked to the circle game (I'm sure everyone remembers this as a kid), and other people used it to mean okay like this emoji , but at the end of the day, a bunch of racists decided to adopt it as their thing and they're the only ones who try to push the "iT's JuSt A mEmE" bullshit. These guys are the ones who gave it new meaning, and keep using it, so that just doesn't fly.

I disagree with this logic.

If Islamic terrorists adopted pizza as the symbol of their movement and loads of terrorists started eating pizzas and leaving pizzas at their terrorist attack crime scenes... I don't give a fuck

I'm still eating pizza.

Going "Well some racist people did this so now no one gets to do it apart from them!" is insane.

Dude you're acting like the quotes weren't valid to the interviewers point.

Shapiro was railing on the anger and lack of debate in American society and the interviewer was like "But you're largely responsible for doing that, here's some quotes." and Ben didn't go "Yeah that was dumb you're right." he got angry and insulted the interviewer.

These by in large weren't even tweets, they from Ben's book...

You don't get to go "Asking me about my views while I try to yell over you angrily and degrade you is a Gotcha question!"

I have no stake in this but Shapiro was embarrasing in that interview, it's crazy to try to defend him. Ben was rude, evasive, insulting, childish and kept trying to bumrush and dehumanize the interviewer rather than say anything.

The Pentagon has approved a plan to spend an additional $1.5 billion to build 80 more miles of wall along the U.S.-Mexico border

Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan approved the re-allocation of funds, which were originally earmarked for support of Afghan security forces and other projects, to help pay for the wall along the southern border.

"Today, I authorized the transfer of $1.5 billion toward the construction of more than 80 miles of border barrier," he said. "The funds were drawn from a variety of sources, including cost savings, programmatic changes, and revised requirements, and therefore will have minimal impact on force readiness."

In March, Shanahan approved the first transfer of Defense Department dollars and redirected $1 billion to help build nearly 60 miles of wall in Yuma, Ariz. and El Paso, Texas.

The combined total of $2.5 billion is in response to President Trumps declaration of a national emergency at the border.

But the plan to divert Pentagon funding has sparked criticism from congressional Democrats, who accused Shanahan of not seeking approval to reprogram the funds without congressional authority. Shanahan and other senior defense officials claimed in response they did not have to get permission from Congress despite the objections from Democratic lawmakers.

Shanahan, who has said he plans to visit the border on Saturday, said that the Pentagon is fully engaged in fixing the border crisis. He said that more than 4,000 troops and 19 aircraft are supporting Customs and Border Protection personnel.

The funds are being reprogrammed from the Afghan Security Forces Fund, a project focused on chemical weapons, Air Force programs, savings related to a military retirement system, and coalition support funds. The Pentagon is also expected, at some point, to transfer up to $3.6 billion from military construction budgets to pay for wall construction, but details of those plans have yet to be announced.

The move comes after White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Thursday that the president would officially nominate Shanahan to be the next U.S. secretary of defense. The decision to have Shanahan permanently lead the department is based upon his outstanding service to the country and his demonstrated ability to lead.

"Acting Secretary Shanahan has proven over the last several months that he is beyond qualified to lead the Department of Defense, and he will continue to do so," Sanders said in a statement Thursday.

Shanahan said he was honored by Trumps decision.

If confirmed by the Senate, I will continue the aggressive implementation of our National Defense Strategy," he said. "I remain committed to modernizing the force so our remarkable Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines have everything they need to keep our military lethal and our country safe.

Police in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, said Wednesday they have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder and arson after he allegedly burned down his ex-girlfriends house last December.

According to police, trouble arose between Shota Ban, a company employee, and his former girlfriend after she wanted to end their relationship, Fuji TV reported. Ban is accused of setting fire to the house before dawn on Dec 25, 2018. At the time, the ex-girlfriend (then 22) was at home with four family members.

Police said Ban doused the house in gasoline and set it on fire. His ex-girlfriends 52-year-old mother suffered minor burns. The others were able to get out of the house without being injured. The fire, which took about 90 minutes to extinguish, destroyed the two-story wooden house.

Meanwhile, local media reported that Ban sent a threatening email to his ex at the end of December which read, I am going to kill you and then I am going to die. I will kill everyone who is important to you.
