The new season of TAR Australia has two big twists:

The winning team of a non-elimination leg, gain two massive advantages:
1. They do not have to compete in the next leg. Instead, they receive a First Class Pass and are rewarded with some kind of luxury experience while the other teams continue to race.
2. They will return to the Pit Stop for the arrivals of the final two teams and
choose to Salvage one and Sabotage the other.
Salvage: A bonus or advantage of some kind given to one team. For example, the team may receive a personal driver for the next leg, they may get extra money, or they may be allowed to know what the Roadblock challenge is, before they choose who attempts it.
Sabotage: A disadvantage or setback given to one team. For example, the team may need to complete the leg with one of the team members blindfolded or tied together, they may lose all their money, or they may even have to do it barefoot.

T-Junction: A huge challenge day, only once in the Race, where all racers are split into two massive super-teams. The super-teams will be chosen by the first racers to reach the T-Junction board at the head of the episode. They will pick their super-team and the remaining teams form the second group. The teams will move through the entire race day in these two groups. Whichever group checks in second at the Pit Stop, will choose to eliminate a team from their group themselves.

I don't like either of these and hope they don't come to the American version.

You keep them as long as you have PS+. If you cancel and then resubscribe you get them again. You have to claim them to add them to your account, but you don't have to download them if you don't want to play them right now.

I've never had PS+ before, largely because I've never had a Sony console during its lifetime until now. Can someone please explain to me how these free games work? Do you only get them for the month, or do you get to keep them forever? Until you cancel your subscription?

I agree with their #40 and their #39 and 38 are also in my bottom 5ish so I've got no gripes so far. That being said, i really don't listen to "serious" Survivor discussion anymore because I feel like a lot of it perpetuates the very things I hate most about modern Survivor and the current state of the fanbase, RHAP included.

I had a Playstation memory card stop working with a Xenogears save in the penultimate dungeon. Also lost something like 15 hours on Thousand Arms and whatever save files I had for completed games on the card.

Oof yeah I had a GameCube memory card corrupt once, and separately accidentally erased my Melee save, but at least the latter I didn't entirely mind doing again.

For me it's A Hat in Time. It's autosaved after every single hourglass and now it decided to not do that in the Alpine Skyline, so when I came back to the game expecting to just go do the end of it, I found the whole level untouched. Sorry, but I'm not redoing that anytime soon. If ever.

Just happened to me. Lost well over an hour worth of progress on a game because it didn't make it clear that it wasn't auto saving anymore at a certain part, and now I really don't have the patience or energy to repeat it all.

If the contest had literally been held in December and his matches against Mario/Samus/Snake/Zelda/Tifa/etc had happened in the days following his Smash announcement, then yes.

We're already at the point where he's probably just marginally higher than he would have been pre-Smash.

I mean it's unique enough to stand out, and the levels are pretty cool, and because nobody had the system it was originally made on there was a certain mystique about it that attracted people once it finally came out on PS360, but yeah it's not like, thrilling or anything.

Hey! Pikmin (3DS)
I was never able to get into the main Pikmin franchise (I tried twice to play the first game, once on Game Cube and once on Wii, and it didn't keep my interest either time), but I enjoyed this side-scrolling platformer spinoff. It was very cute, kinda simple but with some challenging parts, and a lot of fun. Definitely makes me want to give the main series another look. A couple of negatives are that they didn't do too much with the Pikmin Park (I never even unlocked all the areas), and the bosses were mostly pretty easy. Some of them were a little difficult to read their patterns, but once I figured them out they were a piece of cake. Also, in the later levels where there was a lot going on, there was noticeable lag.
