You can acquire gear way better than anything you'll find lying around just by doing quests, so that's not a motivation for me. I think in general that exploration in vanilla skyrim can be very samey, the way scaling works means that every single dungeon plays the same because everything is at your level, both the enemies and the loot. Unless you enjoy roleplaying your character and building a narrative for them (which is one of the reasons I love skyrim) I can understand why you'd get bored with it. Anyway, if there's any mod that I'm gonna recommend to make exploration way more satisfying it's this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3058 It delevels enemies and loot so you can walk into caves aimed for level 50 or level 1 regardless of where you are in your playthrough. It also adds a bunch of new artifacts to find. I recently started a new game with this mod after a 3 year hiatus and I've been enjoying it a shit-ton. --- |
