I'd say it's not worth reviving Jesus, because for all we know he was just some average joe.

The partial government shutdown has displayed U.S. political fissures, with myriad citizens, pundits and politicians offering comments and analyses about the inability of Republicans and Democrats to agree upon a spending bill.

On Wednesday a New York man identified as Scott offered a different take on the government's standstill. Calling into the C-SPAN show Washington Journal, Scott said that he supported the shutdown because it was bringing the world closer to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

"I'm in support of it because I'm waiting for the second coming. We just celebrated the first coming of Jesus, but Jesus is coming back. And as crazy as the government is, its just getting us closer," Scott said while talking to host John McArdle, who was accepting public comments about the shutdown. "Now the solution to having a bill pay for the wall, Trump can do this by going after every business in America that got a tax break if they have any ties to any sister, baby companies...that have hired any illegal alien in the past.

"We take that tax break back, and we could build us a golden wall across both the Mexican and the Canadian border," he continued. "I want it shut down because I cant wait for when Jesus comes back and gets the righteous real people and takes them to heaven, and then we have a real big mess on this Earth," he continued.

It doesn't. Infact the older the women is when she becomes the pregnant the higher chance of birth defects happening.

the women in question here was also avatar of his wife, aka the goddess

human beings in that age were far better compared to this age

this is the 4th age, i am talking about avatar from the third age, humans were longer in height, and all other things like living for thousands of years

Nothing that you said changes how biology works.

If you want to wait 14 years before having sex to produce a child in a marriage go ahead. You increase the chance your child will have birth defects.

Police in southeast Georgia are trying to determine how two children could go missing for up to two years without anyone reporting it to the police following the grisly discovery of the bodies of a 14-year-old brother and sister in their fathers backyard.

The Effingham County Sheriffs Office was responding to a welfare check for Mary Crocker on Dec. 19 when investigators discovered her body and the body of her brother, Elwyn Crocker at the home in Guyton, Georgia.

Police said although Mary had not been seen in weeks and her brother Elwyn Jr. had not been seen since November 2016. Neither child had been reported missing to authorities.

Autopsy reports confirmed that Elywn Crocker, Jr., who would be 16-year-old by now, had been buried for at least two years, while Mary had been buried for months.

Police arrested the childrens father, as well as their step-mother and step-grandmother and her boyfriend. All four have been charged with concealing a death and cruelty to children.

The childrens father, Elwyn Crocker Sr., 49, dressed up as Santa at a local Walmart until recently, the sheriffs office said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

During the course of the investigation, detectives found a special needs child the home. The child was taken to the hospital for observation.

Effingham County Coroner David Exley said the cause of their deaths has not yet been determined. Exley said authorities are still determining who to release the bodies to and are still trying to contact the childrens mother.

On Thursday, police charged Elwyn Crocker Sr.; the childrens stepmother, 33-year-old Candice Crocker; and their step-grandmother 50-year old Kim Wright with concealing the death of another and cruelty to children in the first degree.

The following day police arrested and charged Wrights boyfriend, 55-year-old Roy Anthony Prater with concealing the death of another, cruelty to children in the first-degree and possession of a scheduled or controlled substance.

You don't eat a baby cow. They don't provide a lot of meat and can grow up to produce more offspring before you slaughter it.

What you do is you raise a cow, have it produce as many offspring as you can while also fatting up the cow to get more meat, then you kill the cow for its meat.

Now you have more cows to repeat the cycle with then you started.

Your way is extremely inefficient.

The most natural meat you can find is from the corpse of a dead animal.

Because of your words of wisdom I'll make sure all meat I eat from now comes from the natural dead body of another animal.

Parsons, a junior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, told BuzzFeed News on Sunday that she decided to put up the sign after a swastika was drawn over a "Happy Hanukkah" sign on a resident assistant's door the first week of December.

"I thought maybe if I hang the sign up, maybe the person who drew the swastika will see it and see someone condemning their actions, even if the administration doesnt do it," she said.

The university's highly promoted initiative on campus is called "Hate Has No Home at UMass" aimed at rejecting "all forms of bigotry and hatred." As part of its initiative, the university has documented 19 hate crime incidents on campus since September.

Parsons said she didn't expect the university to take any issue with the sign.

But a week after posting the sign in her dorm window, she received an email from a resident director asking her to remove the sign over "issues of inclusion."

"While Residence Education cannot force you or your roommate to take the sign down, I am asking that you or your roommate take the sign down so that all students can be a part of an inclusive residential experience, as well as having a respectful environment to be a part of here on our campus," Eddie Papazoni, a resident director at UMass Amherst, told Parsons in the email obtained by BuzzFeed News.

"I was in absolute shock," said Parsons. "This email tells me the university cares more about the feelings of Nazis than the safety of their students."

UMass Amherst did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BuzzFeed News. But in a statement posted on Facebook, it said the university "rejects Nazis" but it is "sensitive to the use of profanity."

"A poorly worded email from Residence Life staff asking students to take down the sign does not reflect the values of the campus, and it should not have been sent," it said. "The university respects the students right to display the sign and it may remain up."

Parsons removed the sign because her roommate was concerned about the attention brought to their room. Parsons is moving off campus, a decision she made before the controversy over her "Fuck Nazis" sign.

"This makes me glad [the move is] happening," she said. "Im definitely going to hang it in my bedroom. I'm going to keep the sign forever."

TopicOperators of Texas 'Tent City' for unaccompanied migrant children plan to close
Tmaster148
12/25/18 3:01:56 PM
#1
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/operators-of-texas-tent-city-for-unaccompanied-migrant-children-plan-to-close-it/

An official with the organization that operates a "tent city" for housing thousands of minors told CBS News it does not plan to sign a long-term extension of its contract with the government. The nonprofit organization, BCFS, has been paid by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to operate the Tornillo facility in southwest Texas since June 14.

It opened that day with enough beds for 400 youths in rows of bunk bed-lined tents. It has since expanded to accommodate more than 2,500 teens, with capacity for another 1,300.

The BCFS official, who was not authorized to discuss the matter, said the organization does not plan tp accept a long-term contract to operate the facility after the current contract expires on December 31. Instead, BCFS will take daily extensions with the expectation that the government will transfer the children elsewhere, potentially by January 15.

"Tornillo is not accepting new children. We will stay until HHS places the last child with their sponsor or another (Office of Refugee Resettlement) facility," the official said. "We've said all along that this is not a permanent solution and children should be with their families."

BCFS officials have long been critical of the government's decision to open the facility. BCFS' site commander said during a June 25 press tour that it was opened as "a direct result of the policy to separate kids by this administration" referring to the now-discontinued "zero tolerance" policy for migrants caught crossing the border.

"This was a dumb, stupid decision that should've never happened," he said.

A BCFS official told CBS News in September that the organization previously turned down a no-bid contract offer to manage the facility long-term, because the organization's bread and butter is providing emergency management services, not indefinite child care.

On Sunday, Representative Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) said in a speech to a crowd protesting outside the facility that BCFS President Kevin Dinnin told him there are already 300 teens at the site who can be reunified with families once transportation can be arranged.

"He (asked) if i could help broadcast the message: 'Give up your seat on flights leaving El Paso so we can get those kids to their family,'" O'Rourke told the crowd. "If not, he says it will happen in January. He says along the current trajectory, and if he's able to hold strong and not accept anymore children, by mid-January, Tornillo will shut down."

Asked about BCFS' contract, a spokesperson for HHS did not confirm or deny the organization's contention that it won't be taking new extensions.

"There are no updates on the contract at this time," said Evelyn Stauffer, the spokesperson.

It is not clear how much BCFS has been paid to operate the site, but HHS said in a Sep. 18 announcement in the Federal Register that it expected to spend $367 million for the facility between September and the end of the year.

The majority of the equipment and structures at the Tornillo site belong to BCFS, an official told CBS News during a September interview, meaning if the government ever finds a child care organization willing to operate the site, it will need to bring its own equipment.

When the Tornillo facility first opened in June, officials said they expected it to close on July 13, but month after month it extended and remained open. Though government officials repeatedly said the facility's closure remained imminent, CBS News revealed in September that the director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) sought permission to run the facility through the end of the year as early as June 6.

https://www.newsweek.com/white-house-staffer-tried-hide-out-six-months-1268313

One White House aid reportedly tried to hide out in Washington, D.C., for six months until he could qualify for a Coast Guard early retirement program. But then the program was pulled from Congress and canceled.

Zachary Fuentes, the White House deputy chief of staff, told colleagues that after his boss and mentor John Kelly left the Trump administration at the end of 2018, he planned to retreat from his role and wait until he could qualify for an early retirement program, all while remaining on the payroll, according to a report by The New York Times.

Fuentes, an active-duty officer in the Coast Guard, would only need to hide out until July in order to complete 15 years of service in the military and qualify for early retirement. The 36-year-old White House staffer told co-workers that he would find refuge in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building located near the White House.

The only problem for Fuentes was that the early retirement program expired at the end of the 2018 fiscal year. Fuentes reportedly discussed the issue with the Department of Homeland Security, which pressed Congress to reinstate the program for 2019. An official told the Times lawmakers received a written request to renew the retirement plan.

But after reporters began asking questions about the program, legislation to reinstate it was suddenly removed from a House of Representatives bill this week.

The Coast Guards retirement plan, created five years ago, allows the military branch to grant partial benefits to a certain number of officers every year with fewer than the standard 20 years of service.

Before becoming a top Trump official, Fuentes previously served as a military aide to Kelly when they both worked in the Department of Homeland Security. The White House told the Times that Fuentes will stay in his role during the transition to Trumps latest chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney. Mulvaney will be the president's third chief of staff in two years.

During his tenure in the administration, Fuentes has emerged as a polarizing figure. He reportedly earned the nicknames Zotus (Zach of the United States) and prime minister for the way he treated other White House officials.

Fuentes made headlines earlier this year when he canceled President Trumps visit to an American military cemetery in France due to rain. Trumps absence at the memorial immediately drew widespread criticism.
