I find it shockingly pathetic that someone would use a Marvel movie from a franchise that has thrown out success after success as some type of example for a movie succeeding because of it's politics.

No, the movie succeeded because it is a Marvel movie with a character that was first introduced in 1966. Black Panther has been around for over 50 years and you are acting like this character was created for this movie. Take your bullshit to the children's table and let the adults talk about the merits of the movie and not your garbage.

Post research of this statement. Many of the country's with the top suicide rates in the world have some of the most stringent gun control, and they simply have a different primary means of suicide. So what you are basically saying is that you have a problem that people opt to choose a relatively painless way to die as opposed to other ways.

If your statement was accurate, explain why the highest guns per capita in the WORLD is #48 on the list of suicide rates. Because according to your twisted logic, more access to guns means a higher chance of suicide no?

Basically what a lot of people are saying. A lot of unexpected moments, some great, some not, some a little strange, but over all a very fun movie that is taking the trilogy/franchise in a new direction.

That isn't what people are saying at all. They are saying it is garbage movie with poor characterization, a mammoth number of plot holes, and that it rips apart or ignores almost every relevant question to the franchise.

Terrible movie.

We talking rest of Star Wars or TLJ Luke? You gotta specify, they are very different.

That isn't how it works. Especially for Star Wars movies. TPM was loved by a lot of people at release and then, as time went on, more people jumped on the hate wagon.

In fact, I can't think of a single Star Wars movie where audiences grew to like it more as time went on (hilariously enough, critics actually disliked Empire when it came out as well - showing the value of such people).

So by that logic this movies reception will only improve over time.

That's because it is awful and actually destroyed characters from the OT. The worst part of the prequels is that Darth Vader was a whiny brat most of the time, and in TLJ characters are doing nonsensical things and have attitudes completely different from how their characters have been previously portrayed.

It definitely does more damage to the Star Wars franchise.

He screened TLJ at the acamedy of motion pictures in Beverly Hills. There was the PD editor sound design Mark Hamill and a few others there.

There are a lot of complaints online that were actually addressed last night during the Q&A mediated by some dude from like la times or something idk.

Like he wanted to show Leia using the force instinctually. He literally used the reference of a Mom who summons superhuman strength to save their child who is pinned underneath the vehicle. Leia cant just fly around. It was a feat of her body and the force or whatever. It was instinct.

Also snoke. Rian talked extensively about smokes history and what he thought. Also the last one is currently being written by JJ and Taylor something I think he said.

Shoot off some questions maybe I learned something relevant from the director or sound mixer yesterday that might inform you more.

Oh heres another. Reys vision accompanied by force chants is actually EU force chants from legends that Pablo hidalgo provided. The team records that which for whatever reason Michael giacchono or whatever is part of that recording team. They mix it up to oblivion and there you go.

Did Rian mention if and when he is going to be removed from making that new Star Wars trilogy? Because that is the only thing I want to hear from him.

Like seriously, a movie is meant to tell the story, and if it fails to do that then it is the fault of the director. TLJ not only fails to adequately portray its message, but the message it is trying to get across is also terrible. He has butchered the characters, the lore (with bizarre and sometimes even universe breaking events like the "lightspeed ramming" which makes space battles as they are portrayed in the universe completely irrational), and has even failed to sufficiently create hype for the sequel.

This man has failed this franchise.

Reviewers didn't want to get "LA Times'd" by Disney so they bowed before their overlords.

Make no mistake, Donna Brazile is also a scumbag herself. The whole Democratic party is a mess and filled with corrupted politicians.
