Not exactly the best Musou game, but at least it isn't DW9! Was hoping I might be able to slot this in the under 70 Metacritic category. It's sitting right at 70. Damn you random website that decided this game deserved a perfect score.

Thanks. Had to re-run Strange Friendship for the calamity writs earlier, and didn't have much luck with crysts, but I'll give it another shot.

I can't really get away with using a farming team for extra stage 2, but I also need to rerun that for the moogle, so I'll see how it pans out with a normal team.

I've wanted to play Cosmic Star Heroine for awhile, but I had been waiting on the Vita version. Might as well play it now at that price, though. Even had a steam coupon lying around, think that's literally the first time I've ever considered using one.

And again a Batman game that I got for free that I probably still won't play. Might give Valkyria Chronicles another try, though.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix

First game in the series I've played for more than a couple minutes. I'm terrible at it! Good thing the requirements for passing a stage were pretty lax. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll probably go back and try to improve some of those scores before I stop playing this.

Any advice for Hazard Mechs? They seem terrible.

Abe's armor is a godsend. Whichever mech you stick him on (I prefer the brute) can actually afford to take the +1 damage to enemy/self. Make getting a second weapons for the leap mech (I was lucky enough to find a laser in a shop after the second island, which made the four island achievement much more manageable), and the nano mech (you can move the nanobots onto the unstable mech) a priority over reactor upgrades.

One achievement left for me (although I still haven't beaten three of the same unit/three flying units on normal). It shouldn't even be a hard one (have four enemies die from enemy fire), but man I still can't stand the Steel Judoka. Trying to get it through normal play isn't working at all. Maybe I should just play on hard, and let enemies live until things break just right? Maybe Prospero as captain?

you're probably thinking of a different mech on one of the teams that rams into things and damages itself.

hazard mechs are designed around the acid mechanic and have a variety of self damage attacks.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Rusted guys.

Do you mean the Zenith Guard? They're the ones with the Laser Mech and the charging tank.

I think they're actually my second favorite squad, but having an experienced pilot to help give the tank some survivability (especially the one that adds armor) helps a lot with them.

Steel Judoka is the only squad I found to be difficult to use, which is sad because judo mechs should be the best. I've managed to win once with all the squads, now, but I really needed one of the secret characters to add damage with them.

Only the normal ending, but eh, don't feel like going hunting for the two life extensions I missed. Really good game, which is pretty much what I expected. Don't know why it took me this long to get to it. A lot easier than I expected, though (although I guess I haven't fought the hardest version of the final boss, and the other final boss.)

ArkOfTurus has beaten The Sexy Brutale

Enjoyable game, fantastic music, very stylish, and I'm glad I played it. Conceptually, though... It just made me wish there was a Ghost Trick 2 I could play instead. On its own merits it's certainly a great game, but I couldn't stop comparing it to Ghost Trick, and man I really liked Ghost Trick. I still enjoyed it, and I'm going to go back to find all the lore I missed, though.

Probably going to go on to Demon's Crest once I finish exploring Sexy Brutale. I'm going to leave a couple early nominations, though.

Thinking about nominating Into the Breach if I don't get to it this month. Anyone happen to know if it's a game that lends itself to replays? HLTB has it at 4 1/2 hours, so I guess it isn't like FTL in that regard.
