Just pulled up my mcdonalds app and they have a big mac meal for $6 on their deals section. If you cant be bothered to download a fast food app and seek a coupon for 5 seconds then you deserve to lose money on overspending on disgusting, overpriced, and unhealthy fast food.

what Anime needs to understand is that the current audience doesn't really care about long winded character arcs anymore. Japan really thinks they'll garner more anime fans with live action adaptations but it isn't happening. People like Live action because it's fast paced and gets to the point.

It's not even so much that it is "faster paced" (Which it is). It's that the stories are rewritten in a more cohesive and organic way. The Kuro stuff like Rharyx211 mentioned is soooo much better in the live action show because of how all the different plots are woven together.

I just started rewatching the show and you couldn't be more wrong.

Tim always makes efforts to better himself as a man. Being there for his kids is a huge lesson of the show and it's constantly reminded to you that he lost his father at an early age, so being a good dad to his kids means the most to him.

He also actively listens to his wifes needs. He's a classic screw up but, he always comes through in the end. As much as the show is rooted in "toxic masculinity" and what it means to "be a man." It shows that men can talk about their problems (Wilson) and there are a lot of great lessons to learn.

As an aside, I also really appreciate that the show actually shows a happy marriage. Down to the little things that make it realer than other shows. In other shows the husband cracks wise and the wife just stands there rolling her eyes while the laughtrack cackles along. I love that Jill actually laughs at Tims jokes. Those kinds of details make the show what it is.

Red flags have evolved now to "icks" which are just red flags on a subatomic level. Women have so much choice in who they date they can weed out men with the most ridiculously specific made up problems.

Would be amazing to see if they pulled it off.

Speaking from experience. It gets so fucking exhausting. To the point where when you do get those few and far between matches. You arent throwing your A game anymore, you just cant be bothered. The Armin Tamzarian episode was just another episode when I was a kid. Like it's not particularly good, I wasn't interested in the maudlin drama of it even as a kid, but to see grown fucking adults pull it out as "THIS IS WHERE MY CHILDHOOD SIMPSONS DIED" is absolutely ridiculous and it always has been. I came here to say basically this but IMHO it's actually a great episode with fantastic gags.

I see where people are pointing to this episode as the start of losing the "soul" of the characters, but I think it still handles the characters well.

The Alec Baldwin / Kim Basinger episode. For me, idk if it's the "Jumping the shark" episode, but it's one that I can point to that will highlight everything wrong what the Simpsons became. The quality of the jokes starts to tank. The characters lose so much charm, "Jerkass" Homer especially. But the major thing for me is the celebrity worship is so fucking cringe.

It's only rigged in the sense that men outnumber women 2 to 1 on most apps, so at least half of the men on these apps aren't going to get dates simply due to how the numbers break down.

I mean even if it were "only" this, this is exactly what I'm talking about.

But it's not just that. It's the fact that unless you're in the top % of men, no one's even going to see your profile. The more frustrated and desperate you get at a lack of matches, lowing your standards and swiping more punishes you, and further reduces the likelihood of matches. Everything about the way the algorithms work contributes to kicking the shit out of you when you're down.

It's sad how quickly people are to blame the guy when so many people can relate to this, and everyone knows how badly the system is rigged against men.

I think it's because a lot of players focus on just solving the most immediate problem before them.

I was chatting with this dude in discord about it yesterday and he was like, "just kill all the monsters or find a safe place to bunker down" and he kind of just kept repeating that.

And then I realized, the reason why there's so much "melting down" about this is because I think the "problem" goes above their heads.

Most players just see a challenge, solve it, move on and never give it a second thought.

So, when they encounter someone going, "yeah, yeah, I get all that but still, From should add a pause function" it just doesn't compute because that's now how they view videogames.

I love all the From games but it is kind of silly how the die-hard fans (the ones who take pvp seriously) have a big problem with admitting that these games should have a pause button if you're offline.

This is hilarious. "It doesn't compute" and "goes above their heads."

This isn't a problem to people that enjoy the games. You can't redefine how anyone plays and enjoys the games because in your mind this is a "problem." I think you're the one unable to compute that a lot of gamers, myself included, really enjoy a game that has created an atmosphere of not always "Being safe."

I can understand that, but sometimes someone's at the door, or there's a phone call, or a family member asking for help, and sometimes one just has to take a crap. You and others who like that more intense play style would still be free to not pause your game and play how you've always played the games and others would be able to pause the game when needed. Not having one isn't a deal breaker to me, but it would be nice and it harms nothing.

But like I said, if you have to lose a life because someone rang the doorbell, it is what it is. Death is a part of the design in the games. I wouldn't care at all personally.

Honestly, it forces you to be in the moment. You cant save scum. You cant just take a time out in a hectic fight. Once youre in the shit theres no turning back.

And back when invasions were more prevalent, it was a very cool idea that someone could seamlessly invade your world. Sometimes you wouldnt even know.

Since its in every one of their games and many copycats. Its clearly a design choice.
