Some posts in another topic are saying about how you don't really have the right to bear arms if police are going to shoot you for it. While that post is a hyperbole, it did got me thinking about it something else. The 2nd amendment is to give the people a fighting chance in case the gov turns into tyranny, but if the response to that is for the police to ramp up their aggressiveness towards the people instead of checking themselves (since police never know if someone is carrying), then maybe the 2A has failed in it's purpose?
