Hollow Knight is great in its own right. Salt and Sanctuary is great in its Ode to Dark Souls. There is a lot to explore and I love how they were able to develop it using 2D physics. It has a lot of the elements you like about Dark Souls...bonfires to rest at, a connected world, difficult enemies, various rings to wear, attention to stamina, soul (salt) farming...etc But it's different than Hollow Knight because this game definitely feels more like Dark Souls. --- |

The initial 3 hours did not impress me much but as the game progresses its beautiful intricacies shine through. I recommend it. --- |
