The physical/special split in gen 4 was one of the most revolutionary changes to the battle system ever seen between generations. A lot of previously useless pokemon suddenly became viable, especially after gen 2 split Special Attack and Special Defense and nerfed some of them (looking at you, Gyarados).Sneasel finally became useful. ...In the same generation that it got a far better evolution, but hey, points. Of course, Dark should have never been a Special type to begin with. I have a HDD adapter at work so I'm going to bring that home tomorrow and pull the HDD and see if I can still pull the rest of my files. Then if that works I'll see if the HDD can still be salvaged.

| Solar_Crimson 02/21/24 9:16:39 PM #1 | Ever since the last Windows update, it had been running kind of weird, and this morning I started getting notifications telling me to restart the PC so that it could attempt repairs. I bought an external SSD from Amazon today and tried to copy my files over before what I felt was an impending failure, but the PC shit the bed right as I was still in the middle of copying files.
I did the Chkdsk which completed, but then it went straight to an Automatic Repair, which couldn't repair anything. In my experience in IT, this means that either something in Windows has screwed up, or the hard drive itself is starting to go bad. I was planning on getting a new PC this year anyway, but I was hoping that my laptop would at least hold out until then. I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance. What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase FFXIII for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move. It's a shame that the game has such weak graphics and performance because outside of those two things it's an S tier Pokemon game.There's also the lack of post-game content without DLC. FINALLY, after dropping the ball for 10 years since X/Y--and despite the earlier Stadium games getting it right over a decade prior--Blastoise finally fires Hydro Pump from its cannons, instead of from its mouth.

Weird how they didn't really do anything with it. They made Viva Pinata which was a cute puzzle game, a Perfect Dark sequel, and then a Banjo Kazooie sequel, but that was basically it. Whatever happened to the G.S. ball?It was supposed to have contained Celebi inside of it, but when they did the fourth movie which also featured Celebi, the GS Ball plotline was seen as redundant so they had them drop it off with Kurt and leave it there, hoping that the fans would eventually forget about it. Honestly, the reasoning behind it was rather dumb.
