My first VR experience, I played through some of the PlayStation Worlds games and I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than I expected so far. It really feels quite immersive and it's really fun to grab things especially. Can't wait to try out Resident Evil 7 and Thumper.

Bit on the generic side, Spyro looks pretty decent here but the perspective on Cynder is a little funky. The monster they're fighting is pretty unremarkable too, I miss unique designs like the Sorceress or Ripto. The rest of the cover is filled with boring haze and sunlight and the castle they show in the background is not an impressive one. I feel like they could've done a better job here.

A Kirby fan would appreciate this a lot more than a non-Kirby fan. I do think it's pretty neat how it shows Kirby throughout the years, but it seems like they should've filled it up all the way, there's too much pink on the bottom and they chose a really bland font choice for the game title. The bottom half where it shows what you get in the collection takes away from the eye appeal too despite being a necessity for the product. It's certainly not terrible, but ultimately it's a bit busy and messy.

Sometimes it's better to keep things simple. Like the title of the album suggests, you just get that wet feeling from just a glance at this cover. All the little water droplets are quite visually appealing and I like how the title is written in to the water. There's not a lot else going on here, but it achieves what it sets out to do at least.

Obviously this is one of the most famously bad covers of all time, revered for its nonsensical nature when put up against the subject matter of the game. Still, there's an undeniable charm to it all. I think there's a real sense of retro sci-fi sensibilities here; I'm immediately reminded of films like Fire in the Sky, Critters, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, or real life myths like the story of the Flatwoods Monster. It's the start of something strange, new, and fantastical. Of course, it's just a dumb cover designed for dumb's sake just to sell a few extra copies, but it's one that still sticks in the gaming public's mind no matter the intentions.

There's something about this cover that's really awkward. I don't really like how the arms are drawn here, or the way Guts holds the arrows for his goofy crossbow weapon. It's not all bad though, I really like the way Guts' cape fills up the negative space on the top half and the bit of blood behind the title is a good touch. Someone could definitely find this cover cool.

In Atlas Shrugged, "Who is John Galt?" (the first line of the book) is repeated often, meant to invoke hopeless, despair, a lack of answers in our day to day lives. This poster for the terribly panned Atlas Shrugged 3 would have you believe it's a literal question, as it portrays a shadowy figure standing in the middle of train tracks from Silent Hill. This is truly as bland as it gets, with a color palette that invokes fatigue and boredom rather than any sense of real mystery or meaning.

In English, it's Syllable, "a super addictive word game!". For some reason, I'm reminded of Friends when I see this cover. The guy in the bottom left sort of looks like Matthew Perry to me. Well, anyway, look how hard everyone is thinking and getting totally stumped! What a totally fun time! The way the green bubbles lead from the guy chewing on his glasses makes it seem he's imagining the guy in the top left. It's not that bad, but it is extremely bland, and I don't think the intent of the cover really comes through well enough. I'm not sure if I'm in for Roland Emmerich's next disaster flick or a social studies class documentary. As Rush Limbaugh says right on the cover, "You'll be inspired." Inspired to do what? To become a Marvel supervillain and craft a plot to destroy the Statue of Liberty? Or inspired to become a better cover art designer? Probably the latter.

More 16-Bit! The best (worst?) part of this cover is of course the "Techno Kid". This uber-dork raided Sonic the Hedgehog's closet and cribs his signature pose, just before the bullies take his lunch money and shove him in his locker, not realizing that "become invincible!!!" doesn't apply to real life.

This is a cover that exists on a list where the only positive to its name is that it looks more appealing than Hillary: The Movie and Cheggers Party Quiz. It is very obvious that the Joker runs this particular Crazy Burger establishment and each meal comes with a side of laughing gas. I enjoy the little family friendly logo in the upper right corner when it's so clear that these characters are the stuff of nightmares.

This has got to be one of the worst CG monstrosities I've ever seen. This is a Wii game and Cheggars over here still has his PS1-era block hands ready to go. Is Cheggars a game show host or he is a member of the Morlocks? Why is there a spotlight so low to Cheggars' face? Shouldn't that be up a little higher? Honestly, this guy is not something you want a spotlight on anyway! Then again, to encounter this thing in the dark would be quite the pants-shitting experience. He may eat you and use your body's energy to grow his forehead even larger. Hopefully the Elongated Man won't have to keep up this form for much longer, because I see his right ear drooping a little. Thank God the most obnoxiously huge logo ever covers up the rest of this deformed party quiz fetus.

What's the best way to get someone to steer as far away from your movie as possible? Put a bland photo of who the movie is about in front of a fear-mongering nuclear bombed city landscape in the background, but make it so it's blurry and hard to make out as well. The amount of black negative space that surrounds the image serves only to squish the image even further with credits that should either be on the back of the cover or feature much smaller. It's simply boring and ill-designed for what the movie sets out to do.
