Regulated them myself. The machine is 150 bucks on Amazon. And it's pretty simple to adjust them, but you have to have a steady hand since the regulating pins are right above the balance spring on these movements. But basically all I do is set the time, wear it the whole day, then the next day around the same hour I set it I'll see how fast or slow it was and adjust accordingly using the timegrapher. You can do it without the machine but it might take you several days since the tiniest adjustments can throw you way off.Machine on Amazon is the time gauge? It's easy to spot a poorly made fake. There's YouTube videos out there going over fake watches and some of them are really good! Some fakes get busted because they used a color or metal that Rolex didn't use in a year or a magnifying window magnifies too much or other really tiny details that would fool a lot of people.Looking at it maybe, much easier if you handle the watch --- "That won't work Boss, hide the target in a place they're unlikely to be found"---GZ |

One thing I like about Breitling (and some of the other Swiss watchmakers) is that each movement is submitted to the COSC for certified chronometer testing. I'd say Rolex/Casio for people not into watches, and Seiko/Casio for people into watches. Seiko is IMO a good place to start for mechanical pieces, to feel out what you like/how deep you want to dive into the world for not too much cash. The majority of my mechanical pieces are Seiko, or have Seiko movements inside, and are acting as the springboard towards regulating, servicing, and potentially building and modding my own.citizen may have overtaken seiko in sales and popularity.
