I recently made fried mac and cheese bites with crushed cheese its as the bread crumbs, and it was amazing. But yes sour cream and onion ships is indeed pretty weird, but I'm willing to give it a try. For air frying it shouldn't be a problem, but I'd be weary in trying to deep fry them.

Well, I am complaining but my dad also made some captain crunch chicken one time.

I don't use a meat thermometer, but it's the easiest option to make sure you don't butcher your food before eating.

I'm also the type to eyeball stuff lol.

When you say fried, do you have a deep frier or are you frying on the stove top? Stove top is slightly more tricky. Basically just heat your oil between 325-350, dunk until brown. You should also have a meat thermometer to make sure inside is 165 degrees.

God I need a deep frier. I got an air frier but I've yet to use it. I kinda wonder how it'll turn out if I do?

Well, depending on what kind of crust you want on the chicken, there are a few ways to go about it. Either breadcrumbs, or flour is the best.

What I usually do is this:

Get 2 surfaces(plates, bowls, whatever), fill one with flour and one with egg. Get a third if you want breadcrumbs. Season the chicken breasts(I usually just put some black pepper on it).

Season both well(egg and flour) and mix nicely. Make sure to scramble the egg well. Usually I do stuff like salt, pepper, cayenne/chili powder, paprika, and a few other oddities. Mix well, then dip a breast in the flour, shake off the excess then dip in the egg and make sure you coat it nicely. Now, what I do here is usually dip it once again in the flour(I usually go flour over bread crumbs), but if you WANT, dip it in the breadcrumbs instead. If I go for any breadcrumbs, it's usually Italian flavored or panko. Panko is sexy and Italian works great for chicken parm.

Make sure you heat some oil to a medium heat(NOT too high obvs) and cook until the inside is all white and the crust is a nice golden brown. Cut the fattest part of the chicken to make sure it's fully cooked. Make sure to use thinner breasts, too thick and it won't cook as well. Cut if necessary. It's a messy process but the chicken comes out great.

And if you want a nice meal, I'd also recommend lemon pepper marinaded chicken on the grill.
