I would need to know more about its rate of mutation. I'm sure they'll be able to make an at least effective vaccine, but whether it's something like the flu vaccine that needs to be updated every year, or something like the vaccines you get once in your life and then that's it, I don't know enough to answer.

If youre having trouble getting past sprouts, take some seeds and lay them on a damp (not wet!) napkin and put that in a plastic sandwich back and tape it to an east facing window. The seeds will all germinate and you can pick the ones that seem strongest.

Neat tip. I'm kind of a wannabe gardener myself. Most I've ever done though is refused to mow part of the yard and now it's full of wild black raspberry plants, which I transplant here and there every now and then. I've bought seeds for other plants, but never got anywhere with them, largely due to lack of time/planning/direction.

I'd be able to snap-analyze it if I could see the situation. Without seeing it, the most basic answers are, 1: hit the breaks in an attempt to avoid collision by slowing down, 2: hit the gas in an attempt to avoid collision by speeding up, or 3: swerve left and accept collision, but try to minimize damage by turning it into a side swipe, also be prepared to escape to the right side of the vehicle prior to collision to minimize potential for bodily harm.

I fear dying uselessly, like in a freak accident that would be impossible to foresee or avoid. Other than that, dying is just another part of life (yeah, the last part), and the only thing you have to be afraid of is not making the most of it, and ending up regretting something you failed to accomplish.

I may have had it.

The flu this winter kicked my butt, had me bedridden for a couple days, and that pretty much never happens. Some weeks ago, before the COVID-19 pandemic was even being called a pandemic, I came down with minor cold symptoms, though it wasn't like a cold I normally experience. Started with minor throat irritation, very intermittent coughing and sneezing (like, maybe around 6 times a day), body aches, some mild shortness of breath, exhaustion (I spent a lot more time resting in bed during this time), and within a week it was completely cleared up. Usually cold symptoms, particularly congestion and coughing up phlegm, will linger for another week or so after I feel like the bug is long dead.

I've not been in quarantine, but I feel like I probably should soon. I'm working 5 days a week, but not leaving my property for any other reason. Living in New York State (but not city thankfully), I work in a grocery store. My odds of being infected by a customer or fellow employee rises by the day.

Well, I admit I didn't read the whole topic before my previous post. After reading, my suspicion is low, but greater than zero. Situations like these should always be handled with at least some care, and never with absolute trust in the other person, but it does look most likely to be the work of someone who cares about his students, is passionate about teaching, and probably has an abundance of extra time 'thanks' to the pandemic.

We need to slow this thing as much as we can in order to prevent a total collapse of our medical infrastructure. If that happens, it won't just be the ~1% of people going to the hospital and dying of COVID-19, or even the ~20% of people who need medical attention to survive it but can't get it. It'll be that and everybody else who needs medical attention for ANYTHING, whether from an infected splinter to multiple vehicle collision with dozens wounded, and everything in between and beyond, that won't be able to get any medical attention, and depending on the severity of the incident, will die because we let this thing get too far out of hand.

He is a dry, dull kind of annoying. I really didn't like FF9, and he didn't help matters any.
Of the other examples mentioned in the topic, I haven't played Persona4 (or any games of the series for that matter), but Zagi and Issun I found to be rather amusing, the latter more than the former. Cecelia from Arc Rise Fantasia, now she was annoying!

I heard, maybe it's just in the US, but the Nintendo repair facilities are down due to COVID-19. No new orders will be accepted, and any in-progress repairs will remain on-site until operations resume.

Buying new controllers aren't an ideal option, and licensed repairs may not be an option at all. Still, you have the option of DIY repair. I've replaced a few analog sticks myself, it's not too bad, especially with a YouTube reference.

One. Me, by dad, and my younger brother live cooperatively in the same home. My brother and I are both working adults (nothing special though), and my dad is handicapped and past the age of retirement and works only when the weather is accommodating. Rent is near non-existent, but half the bills and all the groceries come out of my own pocket, plus my brother suffers from muscular distrophy, so any physically intensive home jobs fall into my lap.

My brother and I both work in "essential" businesses, so we're out and about, going to work as usual in this pandemic, and we're both worried and careful about trying to keep our dad safe from being infected by his own sons.

Rune Factory 4 S. That series is my electric crack. While I wouldn't say I'm addicted to videogames in general, Rune Factory sucks me in and doesn't let go without a fight. Rune Factory is what ripped me from my addiction to World of Warcraft. Haven't played WoW in years, and I don't want to.

Weak is thinking that it's only the COVID-19 victims who are at stake here.

Human nature dictates that we'll try to save every life we can, even if it kills us. To this point, that means working our medical infrastructure into collapse if COVID-19 is allowed to spread quickly enough to overwhelm our medical capacity. Doing everything we can to prevent that not only helps protect us from COVID-19, but any number of other medical situations that under normal circumstances are no threat with proper medical care, but can be deadly should such care not be available.

There's nothing in it that will harm you, the problem is that there's nothing in it that will help you either. It's not that it washes out nutrients, it's that it doesn't have any itself. It's perfectly safe as a temporary alternative, but try to get something better if/when you can.

Not smart. Even young people, while their chances are much better, are being killed by this thing. Best to try and avoid infection if reasonable possible given your circumstances, and wait for the vaccine. Hopefully they'll find a way to accelerate the testing phase without taking (m)any risks with it, and it won't take a year or so to be available to the general public

I would definitely dismiss thoughts of having betrayed your colleagues. If anything, coming in to work because you enjoy it despite being sick, if you end up infecting them, would be much more of a betrayal, especially if anyone dies because of it.

That said, that mentality doesn't really work with COVID-19. Distancing because of symptoms? Symptoms don't show up until days or weeks after contracting it, all the while you can be spreading it and be none the wiser. This is a situation for universal precaution. People should be doing anything they can to minimize situations where they can infect others or be infected by others whenever reasonably possible, regardless of the presence of symptoms.

For those going shopping, my advice, and not just for my own sake. Be especially keen on keeping your distance from the store employees. The other customers may be others like you, self-quarantining as much as possible, regular odds of being infected. The workers though, rather than once every week or three or whatever, are out there every working day, and are thus many more times as likely to have come into contact with an infected customer, and thus be carrying the infection themselves.

I was sick a week or so ago. It didn't last long and was a bit different from usual head colds I'll get every now and then. I spent as much free time in bed as I could, and got over it quickly. If I'm lucky, that was it, and I've got immunity now. If not, I'm sure to get it eventually.
