This is one of the few cases in the series that actually surprised me on who the culprit was and with tthe continuity with the preceding case got me to realize that AAI2 was going to be something special.

while i thought E1-1 was weak and E1-2 was terrible, i actually never thought AAI1 dragged as a game... until E1-5. even the first act is kinda meh.

yeah, sholmes being actually smart in the mikotoba dance is phenomenal. i think there's a good case for that dance being the highlight of G2-5 overall!

i think GAA belongs in that convo

this feels kinda high for it. have a hard time reconciling the incredible middle versus the actively awful, punishing, unending final act.

also thinking about this case reminded me of how key the soundtrack in AAI1 is. the pursuit theme and confrontation - presto are amazing - and of course there's the confess the truth theme, most memorably used vs shih-na.

honestly in principle i agree here, but to me the execution was awesome so i loved it!

i think people should be free to vote on preference alone, but i do find the discussion on somewhat objective terms to be more interesting. i can see the argument for SOTN being a lot more influential these days than TR, for example, but i disagree with it.
