I got it now. The lag hasn't really improved enough to play my 125 screen stage yet but the editor does move a lot faster now though.

They say the lag is reduced for larger levels but I wonder just what they consider a larger level to be?

I've tried to download it 5 different times so far and it keeps freezing up around 1.4 MB.

Here it is. Based off one of the fortress levels from Kid Icarus on NES.

Finally got around to playing this stage and it was pretty decent. I don't remember the stage specifically from the game Icarus but it did have a little bit of the feel going on. I got lost for a few minutes but eventually found my way to Toad Man only dying once along the way. Toad Man is pretty simple if you are aware of his rain dance flaw though.

So... I'm nearly ready to release my Mega Maker Gauntlet (complete version) but it is 125 screens and lags horrendously.

I'll have to wait until they address the lag issue further where stages this big can operate more efficiently before I can Upload for all to enjoy.

Well.. I certainly wasn't expecting Gravity Man to be in the lead on this one. It's not all that appealing to me and doesn't seem to carry a consistent rhythm imo.

Gravity Man is what I chose. Big surprise right? =p

No surprise in that regard. I figured you were one of the votes there. I think I'm more surprised alternatively because I think you are pretty much the only person I have ever seen praise 5 as much as you do.

It's ok and all but it just doesn't compare to 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9 imo. It dominates over 1, 7 and 8 though and there probably are not many folks that would disagree there. It's about equal with 10 I think personally like in the way that some of it is good and the rest is acceptable. Neither of those is really stellar for me though honestly.

That's just it, no it won't.

The most accurate way of doing so would be doing 1on1 matches. The more options you have in a match the least accurate it is of the overall votals.

Hate to break it to you but even 1 vs 1 would be entirely inaccurate unless you pit each tune in a match against every other tune to see how it compares to them all.

That'd be 71 matches just for the first run of polls, then 70 for the 2nd set, 69 for the 3rd, 68 for the 4th and so on.

So you'd need around 7,605 1 vs 1 matches just to get a precise reading by your method.

Feel free to take that on if you want but I'm just going to stick to my methods here. We are far from finished polling but it certainly isn't going to take me 7,000 polls to get the results we are looking for.

And you are arguing semantics also. Even if we polled everyone with 1 vs 1 matches we are still going to wind up with a B8 opinion here which as we all know is nowhere near the actual reception worldwide so you got a moot point trying to argue any inaccuracy here.

The results we get will be precise according to the voters here.

The Demo Gauntlets were pretty fun. They were pretty good amalgamations of Mega Man 1-6 and I felt it got better and better with each section.

Hey thanks for saying so. My kids and I have been having a blast with our speedruns.

I will be going through and ret-conning the 3 stages after I learned from someone on the forum how to fix the transporter issue I was having and since they fixed the lag issue, I'm actually gonna be working on merging all 3 into one really large stage truly worthy of the "Gauntlet" title.

Stay tuned for that. (I'm also going to be adding a fun little bonus goal too with various edits so that the experience will be slightly different.)

Lol yeah after the update I had to edit that section because it became pretty difficult the way I had it. I found many areas too that were beter on the speed runs if you just take some damage and I also abused Skull Barrier on many of the spike sections.

If you don't mind, which areas did you think were the best in those stages?

Originally it was supposed to be one massive stage where the end of the 1st would have connected to the 2nd and the 2nd to the 3rd. But.... now that the game has been fixed I just might take the time to connect them all into one stage come to think of it.

Finally. What did you think in the variety of segments in the Demo stages? I feel like it's a pretty good mix without ever feeling redundant personally but I just wanted to see what others thought of it in that respect.

Anyway, I appreciate the feedback dude. It helps a lot to fine tune my building skills. :P

I like that there isn't a ton of lag now too but for some reason I feel like everything is now 2x to 4x the speed it should be.

You notice it dramatically with the enemies that fly since they practically "zip line" to you now and it also shows with many of the Mets who now appear to have machine gun fire.lol

And I can't forget the fact that you barely touch the left or right buttons now and Mega Man zooms to one side or the other making timed jumps that much more tricky imo.

I did go back and replay all of my stages without the lag and I'll tell you it wasn't very difficult to find the areas that provoke some rage. XP

Not too bad of a stage as far as difficulty. Plant Man was a chump indeed so I snaked his a** literally. I got him in a loop of jumping on top of the ladder and I just sent snakes up the wall into his b-hole until he died.lol Flawlessly too btw. ;P



In the stage itself I died twice at an unpredictable jump where the wall hangs lower than expected just before the boss room but made it through otherwise unscathed. There seemed to be plenty of health orbs dropping from the enemies for me so I might have lucked out on that.

As far as your stages so far... I kinda prefer The Mountain atm.

Keep up the great work though dude. Looking forward to your next one. =)

Finally! lol

Here is a set of stages that started out as 1 huge stage that I divided up because of the overwhelming lag. (Nice of them to fix the lag problem after I already divided up the stage. >_>)

These were created for the purpose of sharing ideas, color schemes, enemy pairing, etc. I wanted to try and use as much of a variety as possible to show what kind of stages can be developed. If more sprites are released in the future be on the lookout for possibly a 4th or 5th Gauntlet stage depending on the size of the new content.

Anyway, my kids and I have had fun speed running these stages and trying to see who can get the quickest times. (You can use any stopwatch; most phones have one included) but I offer you the challenge here as well.

Feel free to see if you can beat my times (more than likely someone will)

Welp... still can't use the new update. Not sure why the hell it isn't working now after 3 updates.

The problem I have is that I also can't go online at home now since the older versions aren't with online capability. The good news I guess is that I have located the folder on my laptop that contains my stage information so I can at least copy it to my flash drive and install it on the laptop at work where the new update actually works thus...

I will be able to release my 3 new stages (1 huuuge stage split into 3 parts more like it) tonight when I get to work.

I submitted the info on the forums about the new update not working so hopefully someone notices since I'd imagine that I'm not the only person that is experiencing this atm.

(Also gonna try your new stage tonight Nee)

Just the opposite here unfortunately. (My laptop is 12 years old and running Vista)

I just got home and tried to turn on the Mega Maker and now it will not run on my laptop. Soooo bummed and kinda irritated at the same time. /:(

I figured I could just go back to 1.0.3 but that won't help because you can't upload/download stages in the older versions.

This just absolutely sucks right now. :(

Damn. You'd think that when they release a bunch of bug fixes that there wouldn't be any new ones as a result. >_>

Anyway, after the update when you come out of one of the pink transporters if there are any falling platforms or moving platforms in your immediate view they will not appear as they are supposed to.

You can die of course as long as you are near a checkpoint and they will reappear but this is will be a big problem for folks who create stages where you exit a portal and are supposed to land on a moving platform etc. (with no checkpoint of course).

This wasn't a problem before the update so it's kind of odd that it's here now. Just giving everyone a heads up.

It's already broken one of the stages that I downloaded from another user where they use portals to travel from room to room. (I think it's simply called "one room"). When you get to the rooms that have the obstacle/platforms you cannot pass because they simply do not show up.

Kind of a bummer honestly...

Sweet. Hopefully that not lagging so much actually works on my 12 year old laptop.

Anyway, kinda delayed a bit atm on releasing my last 3 stages. I have been playtesting the crap out of them and tweaking/fine tuning certain areas and removing any glitch spots I can find.

I am hoping to have them uploaded for you sometime this am.

I watched two episodes of scrubs randomly, and liked them. But I could never watch the whole series.

This is kinda how I feel. I have watched and enjoyed individual episodes plenty of times (John C. McGinley is the man... which btw has anyone watched The Belko Experiment?) ...but I tried to binge watch the first season and found myself falling asleep more often than I expected. So far I'd say that I've seen at least 60-65% of the show though.

More people should really watch that show. I've been rewatching it lately and it's just so consistently great.

Jimmy getting his nipple stuck in the baby crib was comedy gold but I feel like the show delivers so many moments like that over the 4 seasons that it's near perfect.
