Some people have outrageous devotion to their partner, which lets them do stupid things they're not completely comfortable with that destroy the relationship in the long run. It's pretty normal! It's somewhat ironic because the devotion that lends them to being such good monogamous partners is what ultimately leads them to try less monogamous situations.

Basically all smash picks that were obvious were guess by everyone. Ridley, K. Rool, Banjo, Sora, Shadow, Isaac, even Elma and Chorus Kids. No one gets any credit for guessing those right, there are millions of people guessing and one person guessing the entire roster's safe bets means literally nothing.

Now if someone guessed Richter and Piranha plant, or that Isabelle was a full fighter and not an echo, then I would be listening to them a little more.

I really want to, but I totally could see nintendo picking a character to hype dragon quest because Nintendo loves to try to be the home for dragon quest. And "something from minecraft" is so vague it's not a safe bet to make for a game that's dedicated to bringing in resources from all over the gaming industry. That's the problem with Verge's predicts, they're just too damn safe.

EDIT: oh we're betting on Steve? Yeah I'll take that bet. I'd love if Steve was in, but it seems really unlikely nintendo would pick a third party (EDITEDIT: That they don't work so closely with), so it's win win for me.

They added a building full of people saying "this is a kanto pokemon gym" and called it an extra and put it in the trailers.

Like, Imagine if you made a "enhanced version" of BotW, and in the trailer is Lon Lon Ranch from ocarina of time.

and then you buy the game and you realize its just a stable that has non-unique NPC in it who says "this is lon lon ranch" and you couldn't go on the track or get a horse from it or anything.

This isn't just "not what I want" and it's not "just this game" The last game game freak released was also made with 0 love and effort. Ultra Sun and Moon was the first third version cash in in 10 years, which was super disappointing after we got things like black 2 or just went straight to OR/AS.

So they did a 0 effort cash in, but the marketing tried to make it look like a new adventure with new areas like black 2 was (it wasn't)

Then to follow it up with this game, which is another 0 effort cash in, rounds down the very few edges that were left with pokemon, and has freaking slowdown in multibattles, just shows that Game Freak might not be capable of making a decent new pokemon for a new generation. They've shown that they lack vision, design, and technical skill to make a fun game.

Yeah the pokemon out of the ball touch is awesome but they made all the models for those back in sun and moon and never used them.

I'll also say the drop in mechanic looks cool too, if it was fully realized it could get me to overlook some flaws with the game, like letting another user on the switch log in and use the team from their own save file, or letting the second player actually interact with the world in some way. As it is though, its just one of many half cooked ideas

There is no way you actually believe the developers put "0 love and 0 effort into it"

This is a studio that has as much money to work with as zelda and mario and they gave us a grid map and square lakes and 1 to 1 town designs. Its like those awful youtube videos where they show us what OoT's world or SM64's world would look like in hd. It looks soulless and has zero creativity attached. This isn't a case of the visual style not appealing to me, it just objectively lacks any sort of identity or style to appeal.

Ok Serra Colored Robin is still in, so that's cool, plus it's more obviously based on Serra now thanks to her thumbnail.

Why does pichu have a team aqua hat but no team magma? Sakurai please fix this. also add one wearing a team rocket shirt, come on man I'm doing your job for you.

Pretty bummed that mario got an odyssey outfit (two kinda) and peach didn't despite the fact peach showcases some AMAZING outfits in Odyssey. I would pay up to 10 bucks for a Wedding DLC pack that dresses all the characters up in white wedding tuxedos/dresses.

Luigi got a Mr. L color scheme...almost??? How much more work would it have been to just... finish the design?

Pokemon trainer being..slightly tan is a weird choice as well, like were they going for inclusion but then after one shade darker they were like "nah"

All in all, Sakurai leading with the coolest costume changes in the first direct made me think there would at least be some more cool stuff, looks like there wasn't really.

EDIT: I just realized team skull and team aqua are the only teams who wear bandanas so that's why they were chosen. Thats FINE but really you have 7 slots for pikachu alts and 7 pokemon teams so why not go all the way with the idea? I want to play as plasma pichu!
