Ever since my 55 hour Bravely Default save corrupted I've been all-digital on the 3DS.

You should look into jailbreaking your 3DS so you can backup the cart to play on your memory card in case this happens again.
Do you think digital copies have a less likely chance of corrupting?

My oldest got banned in 2012. Then I got banned several more times until about 2014 when I decided I was done getting banned. Shortly there-after, Gamefaqs softened it's stance on how they go about dealing with banning people and we've been mostly cool ever since.

Except that one time I joined The Fam, that got a little chaotic.

Well, a battery based cartridge is a little different than a flash memory card. Those are bound to fail due to the timer they're on. I think this was a software failure rather than a hardware one.

Real bummer, isn't it? Everytime I pop it into my 3DS, it says "This Game Card could not be read." I tried it in different 3DSs, no dice. I sent it away to Nintendo to get repaired, but they couldn't repair it and were out of stock of copies of the game to send as a replacement. So they ended up giving me some funds on my eShop account so I could buy a digital version of the game and I used the Save Data Transfer Tool to get my save off of the card and into the digital version. At least I didn't lose my save. I've read a few posts in a few places that this has happened to Omega Ruby and even X and Y as well. Has this happened to any of you guys before? Let me know!

Yeah, some people can be assholes. My ex-roommates landlady claimed that he caused damage to her tub when he tried to move out, meanwhile he had pictures and video evidence that it was damaged before he moved in, yet for some reason the judge agreed with her. My own landlords(a company) chose to stick a stacker washer/dryer into a small closet which caused the dryer hose to get punctured, meanwhile there was a gigantic open space with no heater on it that they could have put 2 single units and left that space empty for extra stuff.
I know, right? My landlord of my last apartment tried to stick me with nearly $2k of a bill for painting the walls, replacing the carpets, cleaning appliance fees, and other stuff that was total bullshit. I don't know how these types of people live with themselves. I mean, how greedy and slimy can you get?

LightHawKnight posted...
Stealing a water heater seems like more work than it is worth.
I kind of agree. I mean, what are you gonna do with it? Most homes come with them already installed, unless you know you're moving somewhere that doesn't have one or has an old one that needs replacing ahead of time. And even then, this was a rental so they didn't own the water heater so it's still theft. I guess if you're a crook, anything is worth stealing.

Sable, I just remembered something.

What could you possibly need a washer/dryer for?

*I* like to hangout naked, not him so much. Sometimes I'm too lazy to get dressed, sometimes I'm just overheating. He, on the other hand, is usually only naked in the shower or when I bother him endlessly to strip so I can oggle him.

Anyway, I still gotta have clothes for work, man! I'm allowed to wear basically whatever I want to work so I tend to go through clothes faster than my previous jobs that had a set uniform. Plus, there's also sheets and blankets and other non-wearable items I gotta wash, ya know?

The whole lot that I lived on was owned by the same company and there was a shared laundry room. But there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers shared by about 10 households, and one of the dryers was perpetually broken. Also most of us had to walk outside across the lot to get to the laundry room, so your clothes had the risk of getting wet if you, God forbid, did laundry when the weather wasn't perfect.
Now THAT'S shitty. I would have been constantly sabotaging the machines so the owners are forced to get new ones or more of them. Or tried slugs to cut into their funds a little bit. Sorry you had to deal with that, man.

420TwiZtiD420 posted...
Heck yeah! We got our home and had to get washer/dryer/refrigerator. Took us a while, but when you've finally got it all installed and ready to go it absolutely is a great feeling. Glad to hear you've it all set up and no longer have to travel to do laundry.
I know, right? If I weren't working it wouldn't be such a hassle, but it's tough to sacrifice a whole day off for one single chore. Plus all that hauling heavy laundry and supplies and laundromats aren't climate controlled so it can be either really hot or really cold. It's also a little hard to watch yourself drain a twenty in quarters in a sitting. Like, it all adds up, you know?

Do you have a proper air-conditioning system or is that also on hold?
We have central air, yes. Though, I don't think it's quite powerful enough since it doesn't cool the top floor. Instead, we have a standing oscillating fan to keep us cool on hot summer nights.

A little background: as some of you are aware, when I moved into my current home, a lot of the appliances that generally come with a home were not present. No fridge, no stove/oven, no washer, no dryer, not even a water heater. They were all stolen by the previous tenants when they got evicted for not paying rent for three years. I got a water heater a few months into living here and a fridge and stove about a year later. Well, I finally got a washer and dryer, too.

My grandmother moved out of her house to live in an apartment for the rest of her days so she didn't need a washer and dryer anymore. With the help of my boyfriend, my sister's boyfriend, and my boyfriend's father, we moved them over and hooked them up with very little issues. They all agreed it went very smoothly, thanks in part to my careful planning and also thanks to my bf's father's experience in hooking up washers and dryers. No more will I have to travel to laundromats for laundry, no more will I have to choose between a whole day of being stuck somewhere for laundry or doing something else with my time off. Now I can just wash whatever I want, whenever I want. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to some folk, but it means so much to me. My quality of life just went up a few notches!

tl;dr The previous tenants stole the washer and dryer out of the house I'm living in, but now I got hand-me-down equipment from my grandmother because she moved out of her house and didn't need them anymore and I'm super duper jazzed.

I guess I did this sort of work study program when I was about 13 or so. I got paid for a full 8 hour shift, but only spent half of it actually doing what you would call "work". The other half of the day was spent in class, as it were, watching these cheesy as hell training videos on what responsible work habits are. Damn were they hokey. Then I babysat for a while a few times for just this one baby. But I'd say my first real job was working in the kitchen at my university. After that it's just been regular retail stuff until the office job I have now.

Well if you don't sleep around and know your partner in and out the only worry becomes pregnancy to be honest. In HS I only used condoms with my GF maybe 10 times throughout 3 years

That kind of trust can really help in a monogamous arrangement, but if you're not the kind of person to just stick with one partner then that tactic doesn't always hold up. I'm talking more about the people like that more than anything.
