I had slowly played through the original Goat Simulator and all its DLC over the course of a few years. It was super janky and not really much of a game with a few jokes and memes thrown in. I would say it lived up to it's name as just being a simulator. It was fine, but not really a great game.

Goat Simulator 3 however they took all the weird ideas they developed in that original game and it's DLCs and refined them all and put it all together into a single large GTA style map and made an actual video game out of it with a story and quest progression and collectables and whole nine yards.

The platinum is a full 100% playthrough finishing the story, both mainline quests and secret quests as well as collecting all 200 trinkets and completing all 99 "instincts" which are just silly side objectives to complete in the open world at any time based on the costume you're wearing. There's hundreds of equipable gear for you goat (or human or ostrich or gator or shark or a dozen other animals) so you can pretty much make it look however you want. A lot of gear granted special abilities too that ranged from being a silly joke to actually being a useful gameplay mechanic.

I had a lot of fun with it and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone curious on checking it out.

Developer Shift Up comes out with a bang for their first Triple A project. Averaging an 84% through 41 reviews thus far, Stellar Blade has all the action, all the explosions and all the T&A. Seems like with a few improvements it could have been an all time classic, but what's here is a solid character action game.

Gaming Trend - 90/100
Despite not vibing too well with the demo, we were utterly in love with Stellar Blade by the time the credits rolled. Shift Up has done a tremendous job with their first triple A project and sets a high bar for modern action role playing games. There are some pacing issues, and the narrative's delivery stumbles, but the game as a whole is near perfect: the themes, the visuals, the music, the combat, the exploration, the world, and the technical performance. A modern masterpiece.

Press Start - 9/10
Stellar Blade recalls the classic era of character-action games in truly inspired fashion. It might struggle to deliver on its core narrative, and its platforming is often more frustrating than it isn't, but neither of those things are enough to bring down a thoroughly enjoyable action experience. It wears its inspirations on its sleeve, but manages to build on them in engaging fashion with a deliciously layered combat system and gorgeous presentation to boot.

One More Game - 8.5/10
Stellar Blade is an extremely impressive debut from Shift Up, serving up a combination of dynamic combat with visuals and animations that pay extreme attention to detail. Eve's adventure is dressed up with the wrappings of a masterful soundtrack that resonates long after the game is finished, and there's enough content to warrant a more thorough playthrough the second time around.

Stellar Blade's story is sadly predictable, and characters like Eve prove hard to form an emotional connection with due to their relatively flat personalities, but the world and lore are intriguing enough to create more properties should the developers choose to do so. It doesn't offer much in terms of groundbreaking innovation, but Stellar Blade is a competent and confident effort that will offer a good time worthy of your attention.

Checkpoint Gaming - 8.5/10
Stellar Blade bursts out of the gate looking stunning, full of jaw-dropping set pieces, intense action and gory violence, and maintains that pace throughout. Underneath this flashy action game are a lot of systems that we've seen before, but despite what can feel like a lack of innovation at times, it never feels stale or unenticing due to its overwhelming sense of style and polished, gratifying combat. For every familiar puzzle or annoying platforming section, there's a brutal boss battle or incredible over-the-top sequence that pulled me back in. Stellar Blade is a joy, a deliciously crafted adventure jam-packed with dramatic thrills.

Destructoid - 8/10
Overall, Stellar Blade is a journey worth experiencing. I feel like with some improvements in certain areas, Stellar Blade could be a legendary landmark experience like those it clearly draws inspiration from. But even in its current form, Stellar Blade offers a fast-paced action combat system in a unique world with a rewarding narrative. It's not quite stellar, but it's certainly solid. Solid Blade.

Push Square - 8/10
Stellar Blade is a slick console debut from a developer clearly on the rise. With an ever-evolving counter-attacking combat system, some superb art direction, and a sensational soundtrack, this is the kind of back-to-basics PS5 outing that fans have been pleading for. A dire English dub and some trite story beats mean the studio still has plenty of room to refine its craft, but Eve's inaugural outing is largely excellent across the board, and destined to become a firm favourite among PS5 enthusiasts.

VGC - 4/5
For those who wished that God of War Ragnarok offered a bit more challenge or that Bayonetta had a bit more weight to its combat, this slick sci-fi slasher is the perfect tonic, offering both the perfect entry point into the Souls-like genre and a refreshing refinement of the well-worn character action formula. It may lack the naval gazing intelligence of the excellent Nier Automata, but when youre having this much fun, its hard to care.

The spiritual successor of Suikoden from the original creators is here! As with all kickstarter games you have to check your expectations at the door because sometimes you get a banger like Bloodstained, but then sometimes you get whatever Mighty No. 9 or Shenmue 3 were. In this case it's looking somewhere in the middle as we're averaging a 77% through 35 reviews thus far. The game launched for backers and early access members with some glitches that will be patched soon, but unfortunately that's also affected some of the reviews. Opinions on the story and characters seems mixed and expressed disappointment it doesn't quite live up to the likes of Suikoden 2, but the core gameplay seems to be solid. So yeah as long as you keep your expectations in check you'll probably find an enjoyable JRPG here. Also apparently the Switch version is very rough so beware there.

God is a Geek - 9.5/10
Like last years Sea of Stars, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes feels like so much more than just a throwback JRPG. Its a modern game through and through, injected with the elements and mechanics that helped make the genre so phenomenally successful in the earlier years of console gaming. The abundance of heroes simply means theres an abundance of different playstyles and party builds to mess around with, and the music and storytelling combine to create a truly memorable experience that absolutely will stick with you when its over. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is simply a wonderful way to underline Yoshitaka Murayamas lifes work.

While its premise, story beats and main characters echo Suikoden II a little bit too much, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes manages to stand on its own with a compelling tale, excellent characterization, classic JRPG gameplay and great presentation, which make it easy to look past some of its shortcomings, such as balancing and minor gameplay issues. The world of Allraan may never get into the spotlight again due to the unfortunate departure of its creator, but it is undeniable that it couldn't have been introduced to JRPG fans in a better way.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a good reminder of why the RPG genre left some parts of its Golden Age behind. Its also a testimony to what makes the genre special and the power of good storytelling to move and inspire. Admittedly, rigid adherence to archaic structures makes those first impressions tough to look past, but a creative battle system, extensive party customization, and top-notch writing make up for the retro jank.

Indeed, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a JRPG through and through. But does it live up to its most obvious inspirations? Absolutely not. It lacks the heart and soul of the series that most obviously inspired it, and its messy around the edges. But its not all bad. The base building, character recruitment, and vibes, as the kids say, are right on. So, while Hundred Heroes might not have lived up to my admittedly sky-high expectations, if youre looking for an old-school JRPG experience with some modern conveniences, this is the place to go. Just dont expect greatness like I did. Youll just be disappointed.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes emerges as a commendable homage to the beloved Suikoden series. It excels with a rich narrative full of intricate character dynamics and an engaging war story, supported by a vast character roster and beautiful, modern-traditional art design. Strategic gameplay elements add depth, though the games tendency to autopilot and underutilized open world might not satisfy players seeking a more interactive RPG experience.

One you get past its slow start, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes mostly succeeds in weaving the stories of multiple countries and characters together into a sprawling epic. Its turn-based combat system operates smoothly, even if other modes like its strategy RPG battles can encourage simplistic strategies over critical thinking. And while collecting and experimenting with its titular hundred heroes can be entertaining, you wont get to know the majority of them because of how much screen time they need to share with this bloated cast. Still, theres plenty of satisfying side quests and castle building to fill in the gaps, which makes Hundred Heroes eventually feel worth the journey.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is the epitome of a flawed gem-the kind of game that does a lot of things right and we're sure will command a dedicated legion of fans, but has legitimate problems that are tough to overlook. The expansive narrative, gorgeous spritework, and addictive combat all help make it an easy recommendation to any classic JRPG fan, but bear in mind that it can feel dated in its design philosophy and that the Switch version has a lot of performance problems, at least at launch. If you can get past those issues, this is an enjoyable and immersive RPG that mostly achieves what it set out to do.

Were I not reviewing the game I would have put it aside after a few hours and never thought about it again. Eiyuden Chronicle comes after scores and scores of excellent and successful turn-based RPGs from which it could draw inspiration. Instead, it neglects so many of the lessons learned throughout the years in favor of outdated, tedious gameplay.

Is this true or should I just watch DBZ? And/or whats the best place to watch it legally? Attack on Titan was all on Hulu, which was nice.

Not a fan of the English dubbed version that's on there. It's the redubbed version they did a few years later so its obviously missing the Bruce Faulkner music that was in the original Toonami versions and the replacement music is just bad.

The Japanese version is fine though with all the original Japanese music

There is Dragon Ball KAI which cuts the filler out of the Frieza and Cell sagas (Buu saga is mostly untouched) but I don't think it's streaming anywhere and the way they made it wide-screen was chopping up the original footage so you only see a portion of it.

I would recommend just watching it in Japanese on Crunchyroll and If you find the filler is too much just pull up a filler guide but hey just find what works best for you
