I'd prefer somewhat rural with it being a LITTLE easier to get to the city. The only way is a plane, once a day, for $200, and tickets especially for fridays sell out 2 months in advance. So I only end up going to the city a half dozen times a year. That said, the small insular situation means the community is VERY close, so that's pretty nice!

well the seasons in Okinawa are more like... summer from april to november, fall and spring are a week long, winter is december to february. Sorta. It is cooler lately, down to like 25 C, which is significantly cooler than last october at least.

but I won't be able to wear my Lesser Dog scarf until about january :(

so I never did this contest in the past, but I do set up random games for my students every week so I have a lot of practice gamifying things. Here's what I'd do

You have 3 HP. When you get a match wrong, you lose an HP. If you hit 0, you lose all your points.
Points earned double every day you keep your streak alive, but banking also resets the streak, like before. And yes banking means you take the whole day off, missing 4 matches, but it heals you.

This way when you're at "low health" you have to debate, "hmm I could bank now but I'm PRETTY SURE I know all 4 of tomorrow's matches... I'm gonna go for it!" and then screw yourself.

(possibly change to 2HP idk how hard ya'll think the bracket is)

I have no clue what to do with Noctis. I never touched that game, and haven't been on the 'faqs since it came out, so I don't even know if it was popular

Sephy > Vivi > Auron > Lightning > Tifa = Aerith > Squall > Vincent > Tidus = Zidane = Kefka > Terra = Cecil > Yuna > Ramza

Lightning (and presumably Noctis) don't overlap that much with "classic" FF characters IMO, for what it's worth

In some circles ZTD gets a lot (a lot) of hate, but I never bought into this. I'll stand on this hill, just me and Griffin McElroy, loving ZTD forever.

do you mean my favorite aspect, or my favorite section of the game? I guess I could answer both!

my favorite aspect is the way it's not embarrassed to go all in on its lore. In a modern game I kinda feel like that scene where you see Zolomy staked up there would just land like a joke, you know? "trying too hard."

my favorite section of the game is undoubtedly as soon as Cloud rejoins with his own memories, and my single favorite part is when he has a conversation with Yuffie about motion sickness. It's one of the first times you see him just genuinely being himself, and it always stood out to me.

I still can't believe how good FF7 was when it was released in 1997, compared to its competition.

err, I don't actually think it has that much better of a story than modern games? sorry! a lot of my love for FF7 is that it was in the right time in the right place in my life, like Evangelion. It does have some pretty incredible music, though, yeah!

SA has some really memorable bosses. Parsee is great, Orin is just the best loyal pet catgirl, and Utsuho attacking with nuclear explosions is such a radical shift from standard bullet hell tiny pellets everywhere that it makes for a super cool final stage.

Great question! I adore it. I think it's the best job system in a Final Fantasy game (though of course it doesn't compare to the JRPG that perfected job systems, Monster Girl Quest Paradox).

A lot of the stuff that I used to be embarrassed to like about it has only gotten better with age, in my opinion. I used to take games way too seriously...

How about you? I'm curious why you'd think to ask something like this, haha
