If you're strictly opposed to emulation than there's nothing you can do, but otherwise it's not too late! The fan translation is of the highest quality. The translator is literally a professional.

Yeah Tomato does good work. I was active on starmen.net back in the day and followed his progress.

I don't have a GBA or DS anymore, and I try to avoid emulation if possible, though it's not fair to say I never do it. Back in the day I heard emulators didn't work right for the timing in mother 3, but I guess in the decade and a half since then, it's been cleared up?

if you're into scuba diving and kayaking and stuff you gotta visit one of the outer islands (not mine). On the mainland, definitely go to Shuri Castle and, if you're like me, cry while reading about all the damage the war did there.

Churaumi Aquarium is pretty famous, even if I've still never made it there... being able to rent a car is a HUGE help, and I can't.

It's touristy but Kokusai Doori (International Street) in Naha is pretty cool and very accessible, just a monorail ride from the airport. Plenty of shops and food and just about every weekend there's SOME event there, so you might get lucky and see a thousand people in the street doing Eisa or something.

well it's easiest to think of it as Japan's Hawaii. There are Okinawan people (Uchinanchu) that were forcefully colonized and integrated into Japanese society. These days there's a lot of mixed Japanese/Okinawan people here, so the point that it's largely indistinguishable. Like I have one student that's half Filipino and he's called a "Haafu" but nobody with any degree of Uchinanchu in them is ever called out for it. Even though it does give them a darker complexion, yes.

Differences... Okinawa is the poorest prefecture, and also the one with the longest lived people. We credit our active lifestyle and fresh foods (especially goya).

In the undokai I'm playing the Taiko (drum) for several events, like giving a marching rhythm, and also playing during a few races to hype up the crowd. I'm also participating in the Ondo () which is like a dance. Then on the athletic front, I'm in the tsunahiki (tug of war) match representing my town.

I used to really enjoy it and catch every video. It just seemed like silly fun, and I liked the in-jokes that would develop (ah the Prometheus School of Running Away)

I kinda fell out of it awhile ago, like my interest just waned. And then sometime way after that I started seeing all these people talking about cinemasins killing comedy AND theater, like it's evil incarnate or whatnot. Yikes! I don't know about that!

This site is only around 92% Male (not 95-97% like Leon is saying). Over the past several Male/Female polls, the Male percentage has dropped every single time. I think a lot of this is because of our site's relatively static userbase (since the casual visitors aren't seeing the polls). As a result of this and because of our already high Male userbase, some people on this site have discovered that they are transgender (viewing themselves as a female) and this has led to Female gaining percentage over the past several Male/Female polls. Transitioning from male to female is also more likely to occur as an adult (and we've got a very high average age as well).

There was recently a survey of Western Trails fans with over 1000 respondents, and for "favorite character" Estelle was far and away the winner. Even with Cold Steel 2 up there as a top tier game, the fans LOVE Estelle.
