You guys doing breast milk or formula? With breast milk the amount of poopy diapers was pretty non-existent. Like one every 2-4 days because of how nutritious breast milk is. Formula feeding entails a shitload of poopy diapers haha. I was looking at the sheet they give you to keep track of bowel movements and i was going what the fuck!! when I saw the amount of poopy diapers they were expecting

I know evolutionary biologists like bret weinstein continually reaffirm what he is saying (most specific example being the vice interview where he discussed the sexual advantage of wearing high heels and make up) but you may not take too much stock in his opinion...not sure.

and on things like biology, he cites his arguments pretty well in the newest book, and extremely well in maps of meaning. def. recommend reading that if you can chug through a 900 pager...worth it imo

the problem with him is that he doesn't make cogent arguments that are easily refutable, he makes scientific claims when it suits him and then slips into analogies that aren't meant to be taken literally in the same sentence

as @COVxy has pointed out, for instance, his idea that we can learn things about hierarchy and such from lobster physiology is basically not true in any scientific sense whatsoever, but he and his followers don't actually care about that from what I can tell. The overall message he is trying to present is more meaningful to he and they than the factual accuracy of his supporting statements. He uses particular pieces of scientific information, but he does not employ them in a scientific way. Someone will respond "Well I guess that means you don't give a shit about poor people since "Thats just the way it is""

and his response is always something along the lines of "no this IS an actual problem...but we need to know what the fucking problem is caused by to fix it"

Me too. When I see the absolute best arguments Peterson haters can muster are laughably pathetic it reaffirms my belief that he is an intellectual worth listening to that has a lot to offer the world. Plus, for so long the only people telling me what's wrong with liberals and the left have been conservatives, and they're obviously not a very reliable source since they usually say everything is wrong lol. But for another liberal to point out the flaws and pitfalls of liberalism is eye opening and incredibly useful.

Yeah but the left will claim that he's not a liberal. He walks the line imo (order and chaos yada yada stuff) and he makes good points when he talks about how too much to the right makes things rigid and stale, and too much to the left makes things chaotic and lacks any cohesiveness

Ah man...you're only 26 - you'll be fine. Obviously you'll want to make sure the job you are in is challenging you and moving you forward, but maybe you're comparing yourself to some freaks of nature who are lead engineers at 23 years of age? Not saying you are, but its an easy trap.

You'll start hitting a stride once you get to around 30....people look at you different and start to take you seriously...its weird and ageist or whatever you wanna call it...but it was VERY noticeable for myself.

If you have a job and you're an engineer you are doing just fine...keep pushing

Have you started with cleaning your room? As strange and stupid as it sounds, it has helped me become much more organized all around in my life.

Every morning, my wife and I look at each other bleary eyed, thinking about having to get up and do shit that needs to get done...

and we say in JP's voice "Clean the rooooooom!". It makes it silly and fun, but every morning our room is cleaned

It's bled into other things as well because I used to be shit and cleaning up after myself. Now I have to. I dunno, you might not be that bad so maybe that won't help...but it does feel good to get it done.

EDIT: and its easy to at least start trying
