I offer my congratulations as well, along with a small amount of jealousy! I'm an aspiring writer too and I've been stuck in the mud for the last decade. I know the general advice is to write a first draft before editing but I keep trying to craft a perfect chapter just to prove I can do it before moving on (plus I like editing a million times more than writing). I've been working on a novel since the start of 2019, easily thousands of hours, and it's mostly been just editing the same chapter and a half over and over again. And it still doesn't feel like it's good! Aside from not having the talent for it, going a serialized route like this would drive me crazy by not being able to go back and fix something from earlier if I wanted to.

Still, that makes what you're doing all the more impressive to me. I'll look into tracking it down

I made the mistake of reading reddit comments and, man, people there are hating this season. Everyone complaining about a lack of nudity/swearing and acting like the shittiest episodes of the first season were gold (I even saw someone claim they enjoyed that awful yogurt one!)

The worst episode of this season was no worse than a mediocre one from the first season imho

Subnautica is one of my top five games ever. I sometimes replay it just to relax, I love the loop of gathering resources, scanning technology, always improving... there's always something to do.

I played Below Zero twice during development. Once right when it came out, at least what little they had, and once back when they did the big story revamp update. I didn't like it anywhere near as much as the original. Now, I never played the original Subnautica until it fully released so maybe I'm about to be pleasantly surprised by the final polish, but I dunno. For such a similar game it just didn't feel like it had the same satisfying loop. Still fun but not 'one of the best games of all time' fun.

These are comments from the old story that was mostly scrapped but I'll spoiler tag them in case anyone wants to go in fully blind. Below Zero in the original story had a space station your sister was on and you regularly interacted, sending each other gear and such. A lot of people on forums complained that they lost the charm of the original Subnautica where the main character was completely alone, but I actually liked that way better than what they turned the story into. It doesn't need to be a carbon copy of the first Subnautica, having space station drops and missions was fun and different and I'm sad it was almost entirely removed

I'm hype for the new Life is Strange. I'm one of the mega-fans of the first one and Before the Storm (I even have a Chloe graffiti tattoo!), but I never played Life is Strange 2 either. It was missing too many elements that hooked me in the first one. True Colors, at a glance, seems to have more of what I want. Just keeping it to a single location and having the protagonist be the one with the power is already a huge step up from what I know about LiS2, and the mystery looks good. Plus, Steph is coming back! She's no Max, Chloe, or Rachel, but I liked her. Give me more D&D sessions, please.

One other thought (I guess small spoilers for Before the Storm) one scene in the trailer has the girl, while seemingly under the influence of anger auras, shouting and shattering a bunch of windows. Made me think of Rachel's scream at the end of BtS Ep1, I wonder if they'll delve into that at all?

Limiting myself to characters from the classic era who appear more than once, I guess either Bleeding Gums Murphy or Manjula. Only really great moment I can think of with BGM was when he was on the Cosby show. Manjula I couldn't think of anything great.

Comic Book Guy became bad when the writers turned him into the representation for the unhappy part of their fanbase but that was after the classical era.

This seems like an excellent topic to ask a question about selling Pokemon cards (okay it's inappropriate but you guys know more about this than I do so help me out if you can). My mom cleaned out her closet recently and found a still-sealed Starter Gift Set she bought forever ago and forgot about.
