I had a lot of problems with 5, personally. The nightmare was such a big part of it and the various sections of it were hit-or-miss. I also wasn't a fan of their explanation for the storm, among other things.

Still, the overall experience of Life is Strange was what makes it my favorite game ever and I'm always glad to see someone else playing it! Any plans to try the prequel, Before the Storm?

It's actually a really heartbreaking scene! I usually pick it for that reason (and will again during my yearly playthrough, which is coming up now that I think about it). In fact, Ep4 had a lot of heartbreaking moments. Best episode imho

Assuming this wasn't hypothetical and you actually want an answer yes, either not warning her or failing to make her believe you means that she won't be there. I was always mean to Victoria in my playthroughs so it took like a year before I realized she could even be there at all >_>

You chose Dragon Quest V, and I was inspired to finally start it after seeing you play my favorite game. I'm only an hour in, but it's good so far!

Oh, since you actually just started and didn't make the topic after beating Episode One like most people, my actual advice is to try not to rush. For example, you're coming up on an area where it's possible to run straight through without seeing or doing anything, but you'd miss out on several minor choices and twenty minutes of conversations. You don't need to see every little detail, but make sure to take a look around!

Max also has a journal and I'd really recommend reading the initial entries. It updates throughout the game too if you're interested but those first entries provide a lot of background to the characters and setting.

This is hard to answer without spoilers. I'll just say that most of the choices matter in some way (some far more than others, obviously) but you don't need to stress over them or anything. Just play the game naturally

I think you probably would've gotten more takers later on. Right now people are still able to save their main priorities and they're comfortable with the risk of letting lesser priorities go. Like, I'm pretty sure there's been less than ten NRs total this whole contest so far. They start getting thrown out like candy later and I bet quite a few people would've jumped on your trade deals.

Anyway, I actually agree about the stealing the wine bit. It was probably my least favorite part of the episode. There were still some great moments in the backtalk segment ('I think she needs mouth-to-mouth!' 'Nooooooo') but overall it was too overtly comedic. It felt out of place at the time and, looking back, it was definitely out of place coming right after Rachel's big revelation about her father's affair.

Welcome, brother

I'm glad to see you liked Before the Storm so far. Personally, I was wary going into it, but I thought they did a great job with Chloe's character. Backtalking fits her really well, and I actually kind of preferred it to rewind powers. The 'SMASH" scene was also one of my favorite sequences in the series so far. They also did a great job with introducing Rachel, who was basically exactly as I expected and super fascinating. I'm hoping the future episodes have this level of quality.

By the way, did you get the feeling that Rachel has supernatural powers based off that scream at the end there? That's the thing I'm most curious to see in future episodes because I could see it being either an actual power or just thematic license.
