The major difference I can remember is that you can get a sail that not only speeds you up but also changes the wind with whatever direction you decide on going, instead of you having to stop and play the song to change the wind direction every time you decide on going a different direction.

Wakka's still guilty of the things he said or did in the past, but acting like he didn't grow and leave behind his prejudices like that dude is doing is super silly.

Wakka gets his views and beliefs questioned incrementally throughout the entire game, and gradually has to unlearn his prejudices. It's a process.

Wakka's character arc is great and works in tandem with the themes of the game really well.

Trying to downplay it and act like a contrarian on purpose is super weird. (Also, it sounds like you just don't know how character development works.)

It was definitely a neat idea, but I didn't care for Arven or Penny at all, so giving them more screen time wasn't my idea of fun. And I only liked Nemona slightly better than them, at that. But it's still a noticeably better segment of the game than everything else before it.

And everything with the professor was really cool, though. Though it did remind me of Lusamine's thing in Sun/Moon and how much I kinda liked all of that more.

Sucks to put Lulu so low since I think she's great, but in terms of having her own arc or development or whatever, she doesn't really have one. At least Rikku had her thing with the Al Bhed and being Yunie's cousin.

Couldn't get far enough into X-2 to get a handle on Paine's character, but she seemed like she'd be pretty low.

I thought it was a fairly good ending, but it was still somewhat abrupt IMO.

Yeah, it's nowhere near as abrupt as something like Tales of Arise's ending, but it still had me going, "Oh, I guess that's it. Okay..."

Christian Bale's Batman is like Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man -- an alright portrayal elevated by being in some solid movies that are looked back on fondly.

Meanwhile Ben Affleck's Batman is like Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man -- really good casting but held back by being in shittier movies.

Affleck deserved a Batman movie that was written by actual competent people.

Not even sad, just forcefully bleak and ran counter to its own themes. Plus, I hate how it sidelined like 95% of the cast then killed off the rest.

It's like the bad version of FF6's ending.

Yeah, NEO was great, and a worthy sequel to the original. I think I still like the orginal cast more, but NEO has some really good characters as well.

And it kept the feel of the original -- hip, stylized, with modern slang -- that I thought they might not do since it wasn't the mid-2000s anymore. So I was happy about that. Felt like I was right back playing the original.

It was definitely a game made for the fans, but because of that it felt like it was only advertised to them. They didn't do well with marketing.
