That would make sense. They said she had to get a PCR test and the 5 day window would start from the date of sample collection for a positive PCR.

My wife and oldest daughter both tested positive last week, and the district told us that if my daughter is symptom free they dont want her to test again because tests can come back positive for weeks even though people are no longer contagious. My daughter had a few coughs and a runny nose for about a day, so shes able to go back Tuesday and just has to wear a mask the rest of the week. According to them youre only contagious for 5 days if youre symptom free.

Our school district has taken a COVID doesnt exist approach this year though, so who knows.

And theyll still go straight to the hospital if they start getting bad symptoms and ask doctors for help. The same doctors that begged them to get vaccinated to prevent them from having to go to the hospital if they get sick.
