Though I wish they'd actually use the big stick instead of just walking softly all the time. What's the point in repeatedly fining people for big parties if they clearly don't mind paying? That $750k + 6 months in jail is just sitting there, unused. Make it the third strike penalty. That'll make the vast majority happy to see the assholes totally get wrecked. |

That's only going to get worse as companies push more towards all-digital. Modern Warfare and Control UE flatout will not work with just a disc. |

| Raddest_Chad 02/24/21 11:07:30 PM #4 | It was FUCKING DOGSHIT. I really tried to like it, but maybe two episodes didn't suck. As a kid, I loved Twilight Zone reruns. I have all the other runs of the show on DVD. I am a huge fan of anthologies because of the OG and 80s TZs and the 90s Outer Limits. When I heard Jordan Peele was rebooting TZ, I was really stoked. I loved Us. Then I got watching it, and I felt sorta like I won a free burger but then it gave me food poisoning. It's probably the worst show I've watched that I expected to be good. Even taking out the "social justice" elements, it was still terrible and simplistic. I sat through it because I just kept hoping it would get good. My mistake. I'm not one to go all "iT's FoR SjWs" and be all butthurt. When people said Mad Max: Fury Road was "a feminist movie" I rolled my eyes. I'm not that guy. But the new TZ was seriously so overtly in your face in that direction that it was like some fringe-left college student fanfic revival. Hell, it was so out there the far-right could probably use it as propaganda about "the horrors of the left" or some nonsense. Several of the episodes in older series runs, particularly the 00s reboot, tackled social justice issues too, but it worked because it was done properly, not in the ridiculous, immature, and hamfisted way this one did. It was bad. Even my wife thought it was unwatchable, and she watches cringy teen dramas. |

Kneeling during the anthem was a good form a peaceful protest though. It got attention without violence, but the only thing that will enact actual changes will be something like mass general striking. Statistically, something like 3% (IIRC) of the total population just refusing to do literally anything is enough to create massive changes. The problem is that the oligarchy has left just enough in the hands of the vast majority so they feel they have something to lose and just remain worker bees. |
