I dreamed that I was driving through the woods when I came to a river. The bridge across was really rundown and simple, with no guardrails. A large pipe hooked to some sort of pump was lying across it, as well as some wooden skids that almost looked like a barricade. Something in my head was screaming that this place was really dangerous and that I should just turn around and leave, but I got out and dumped the skids into the river. I got back into my car, through the passenger door so I had to awkwardly scoot over the center, then I drove off and absolutely nothing bad happened.

Later I was in this corner store or something talking to an older man about this giant book I had. It had illustrations of various military uniforms, but the only color printed was pink. I remember there being British Lancers and Trotsky's train guards.

Yeah it seems like the producer or whatever is in the documentary and just the trailer made me want to punch him

Oh wow really? I hadn't heard about this. I know it wasn't a live stream at least, due to him being censored and all that.
Unfortunately the video's gone, but if I remember right they had a bit where they say it's live and there's a person with a joystick moving around a censor manually, which is obviously a joke. The show was called Susunu! Denpa Shnen, and the other segments included:

-A comedian travelling to Africa to disarm landmines. We see her begin to disarm a mine, but oh no, someone forgot to put their truck in park, and it rolls over a mine and explodes! In another segment the same actress ends up fighting off lions with a comically large paper fan.
-Two comedians are put on a deserted island in the ocean with no food or supplies and told they had to get back to Japan on their own. After months of hardship, they built a raft and escaped, only to be given a swan pedal boat and were told they had to go to Indonesia instead.
-Two comedians are put in South Africa with no money and have to travel all the way to Norway.
-Something that gamefaqs probably won't let me describe, but it involves a gay bar.
I watched a bit of all of these, but the company went all out with DMCAs and had them removed from youtube.

what was the reason why he couldn't just quit after a few days?
One of the things I found out while looking into this a few years ago is that Japanese comedians (or TV Talent, because they're also used for stuff like gameshows) are heavily controlled by talent agencies. If you refuse a role, you could get fired or even blacklisted. I can only assume he got proper meals and clothing outside of filming. The guy also has a super recognizable face and wouldn't have been allowed to leave the studio or contact anyone. The pay is apparently shit, too, as you're practically working "for exposure" and the chance to make it big. I just don't buy that most of the show was real, though it would have absolutely sucked to "star" in it.

I'm interested if they actually dug into deeply. It aired as a segment of a bigger show, and all the other segments were obviously exaggerated or outright fake, but people take the Nasubi one at face value. There was a longer youtube video on it, but it got copyright claimed recently. I think they found out that it wasn't a 24 hour livestream like most people say, but short segments at specific times, and it was also obviously prerecorded.

Then in the latter video when they break down the individual kana, you can clearly hear pronounced as "he" but in the full word it's "sh"

This includes but is not limited to explicit descriptions or discussions of sexual acts, images or videos containing nudity or explicit content, objectification, and solicitation of sexual encounters. Users are expected to maintain a respectful and appropriate atmosphere in all discussions and interactions on the site.

The Boo in the Pianta Parlor still has cat ears instead of bunny ears, so some changes are definitely staying.

Edit: Actually, they removed the bunny ears from the Japanese version of the remake too. It's such a pointless change. What difference does it make if it's a cat or a rabbit?
Because it's a Playboy reference. Same thing happened years ago with the Dragon Quest VIII and Tales of Symphonia ports. People speculated it was over coypright concerns, but considering the the number of gacha games that use the design (and even DQ 11), it's probably because the sexual connotations are too overt.

Now granted the Sex board is mostly for relationship advice, and really weird horny posting isn't allowed -- but the line isn't so thin over there.

Powdered_Toast
04/21/24 5:29:26 PM

Matter-of-fact explanations on social media are a result of multiple factors. The responses could be taken from generative AI, resulting in an unnatural, stilted tone. These are easily distinguishable from a human, and may make the person asking the question feel uncomfortable or believe that they're not being treated with respect. Another option is that the writer believes that a simple, authoritative response is more likely to taken seriously, as an answer full of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes will often be dismissed out of turn. Alternatively, someone might just be fucking with you.

18+ sets just mean they're expensive, retro, or have a ton of tiny pieces and are relatively complicated. Officially LEGO doesn't allow war or overtly violent themes, though they've released some WW1 stuff and the Indiana Jones sets had nazis and a Messerschmitt.
