Doom. A lot of the newer/younger fans are literally unable to play the classic games because they lack the computer literacy needed to get source ports working, and one of the most popular fan communities that's been around for years (and known for really insightful, interesting discussions) has slowly been becoming just children rambling and asking really basic questions that have nothing to do with anything.I played a fair bit of Doom mods but I never participated in the forums. That's a real shame, I've heard some vague stuff about recent Doom forum drama. And I know zoomers are supposed to be tech illiterate, but with GZDoom you drag a wad onto the .exe and it just works. Honestly I'm not the biggest fan of I and II and if you're not really into retro games they can be off-putting. Everyone seems to like VIII the most of the modern 3D games so you could try that, but personally I love Oath in Felghana and Origin, and they go on sale for like five bucks. Napishtim uses the same engine as them, but it's kinda rough and I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely want more (but worse).

I was absolutely livid, angrier than I've ever felt in real life. A bunch of people got together with me to try to find out who did it and how. I remember a guy saying "oh great, they've sent the two ugliest idiots here to help us," and I was like "c'mon dude, they're trying to help us out."

Glad I'm not alone then.When I played it I think the water-based DLC had just come out, and there was some sort of property you could capture that would basically tax all other players and give it to the owner. Just one of them in play could really fuck up your income if you were a new player, but if there are multiple in play you were just completely fucked with no way to recover. --- Want some rye? A large pipe hooked to some sort of pump was lying across it, as well as some wooden skids that almost looked like a barricade. Something in my head was screaming that this place was really dangerous and that I should just turn around and leave, but I got out and dumped the skids into the river. I got back into my car, through the passenger door so I had to awkwardly scoot over the center, then I drove off and absolutely nothing bad happened.
Later I was in this corner store or something talking to an older man about this giant book I had. It had illustrations of various military uniforms, but the only color printed was pink. I remember there being British Lancers and Trotsky's train guards. --- Want some rye? 'Course ya do! |

We see her begin to disarm a mine, but oh no, someone forgot to put their truck in park, and it rolls over a mine and explodes! In another segment the same actress ends up fighting off lions with a comically large paper fan. -Two comedians are put on a deserted island in the ocean with no food or supplies and told they had to get back to Japan on their own. After months of hardship, they built a raft and escaped, only to be given a swan pedal boat and were told they had to go to Indonesia instead. -Two comedians are put in South Africa with no money and have to travel all the way to Norway. -Something that gamefaqs probably won't let me describe, but it involves a gay bar. I watched a bit of all of these, but the company went all out with DMCAs and had them removed from youtube. If you refuse a role, you could get fired or even blacklisted. I can only assume he got proper meals and clothing outside of filming. The guy also has a super recognizable face and wouldn't have been allowed to leave the studio or contact anyone. The pay is apparently shit, too, as you're practically working "for exposure" and the chance to make it big. It aired as a segment of a bigger show, and all the other segments were obviously exaggerated or outright fake, but people take the Nasubi one at face value. There was a longer youtube video on it, but it got copyright claimed recently. I think they found out that it wasn't a 24 hour livestream like most people say, but short segments at specific times, and it was also obviously prerecorded.
